well, this seems to be confusing, and it used to be confusing to me, but our Frannie in Kentucky is so unique that i cant imagine anyone not knowing who she is.
when i joined this site, i didnt know there was another frannie. at my age, i have usually been the only frannie, as it is a kinda old fashioned name and not that many folks seem to be named frannie.
when i worked in the nursing homes, the older gentlemen would always reminesce that they had a girlfriend once named frances.(not usually a wife, a girlfriend?)
but in my age group, not so many girls were named frances, usually linda, now that was a good name.
anyway, i do get emails for our other frannie, and i just want everyone to know that if that happens i will forward them to kentucky frannie and let the sender know. ......and no problem, frannie and i have had some good laughs about this confusion, we initially were a little confused ourselves.
so keep those cards and emails coming,,,,,it will all work out!

love
fran

fran .. sweet family story .. my birth name is Frances Catherine Stevens .. ha! sounds like a 'good catholic girl' .. i was named after my dear aunt Frances Elizabeth ... and my grandmama .. whom i never knew Sarah CATHERINE .. the Catherine part of my name has been passed on to my two grand-daughters as their middle name too.

wow, frannie,
my name is frances ann, and thats what all the home town folks call me. i too changed my name to fran in the fourth grade. my dad used to call me frankie, cause i was a tomboy, but my dh calls me frannie and that has stuck.
what is your middle name? i was named by an irish nun in an orphange, and when my parents adopted me they had planned on naming me kearin, but i came home to them on the anniversary of my grandfathers death and he was named francis, so they decided to keep my name frances.

hey texas frannie . HA! maybe that's how we should be named .. Texas Frannie and Kentucky Frannie!

chile' .. when i was a little girl there were always about 5 or 6 GIRL frances's and 3 or 4 boy francis's in my classes!

i've not know a lot of women called frannie either .. so was delighted to learn that there is another kindred-soul out there!

as a child .. at home and grade school .. i was called FRANCES .. when in high school .. i took on FRAN .. then when i met 'boyfriends' .. they tended to call me FRANNIE. and that one 'stuck' .. even my family now calls me FRANNIE.

honey-doo .. i love that we both have and keep our nick-names here on the forum .. don't ever change! xo, kentucky frannie

i also have trouble, keeping track of folks username and real name.
like i know that you are sherri, because we talk alot and have worked on a project together, but i have trouble sometimes remebering if the user name is sooo different than their real name.
i would change my user name, but i read that you loose all your post and i dont want to do that.

What's confusing to me is our Montana neighbor's name is Fannie - without the "r", so it's hard to keep it straight!
