Is it possible to see tv shows on the Internet? If so, how? Where do you find the links? I know I've heard of folks watching shows while working. Just wondering for tommorow's Oprah! Any ideas?

Here's a cool link from yahoo on many shows that you can watch on the web;

Enjoy!

I don't think you can watch Oprah shows online, just a quick clip about what the next show will be about.

Thank you guys so much! I still haven't found a way to see the current Oprah show. But there certainly is a lot of other shows available online. Wow.

We don't have cable or a dish so my DH watches his Purdue games online. They are live through ESPN and the big Ten channel. I know that you can also watch live tv on CNN's website because he also watches politics stuff on the computer. Most channel's do allow you to either watch clips, live tv or already seen episodes. You tube also will have shows. We missed one of the presidential debates so my DH found it on you tube and we watched it that way. Who needs cable these days? We will save our money ;)

You can view TV shows on the various TV networks:
www.abc.com
www.cbs.com
www.nbc.com
www.fox.com

I've done this a lot if I have missed an episode or want to watch it again. Usually the new episodes come on the day after the show originally airs.

Slightly off the "tv shows" topic, but wanted to let you know (if you didn't already) that you can now rent movies on iTunes! They have about 300 or so movies currently available, and continue to add more every week or so. Once downloaded (for a fee of around $3), it stays on your computer for 30 days, but once you start watching it, you have 24 hours to finish it. Pretty cool! (We've only done it once so far, but it's so convenient, especially given the bitter cold weather we've been having lately!)

We watched Men in Trees on ABC two nights ago, since there are too many trees on our property to get out satellite TV hooked up. I can't wait for Jericho either!

NBC abc and CBS all air repeats of their current shows. Just got to their network pages. Oprah is syndicated so is probably not available but I have seen episodes on youtube.

I forgot to say if you go to the website of the show you want to see, they may have a link to watch them.

There are certain shows that have episodes online. I know Jericho on CBS does, I've watched them again on there at their website. Season 2 starts tomorrow night at 10:00 pm, I can hardly wait!!

Now, I KNOW you can put a movie disc in and watch it on your computer. My daughter has done that several times.

Frannie - my daughter doesn't have a TV and she watches DVD movies on her laptop all the time. I didn't know either until I spent the night with her and she popped one in!

I don't know if you can watch live t.v., but I've downloaded t.v. shows that are already taped and aired from the channel's website. Like, I've watched episodes of "The Office" from the NBC website.

Good question - I've wondered that myself!
