I thought so...he's cute as a dickens, and he always seemed so sweet. I'm glad he's found his way back--he was in Frankfort working for Fletcher the last I'd read about him. I know that he divorced his wife and their was a bit of a family rift. I hope that's been mended because they were so very close. His dad was such a dear...really loved watching them perform and interact, and I'm excited to know he's got new work out. Thanks for the link!!!

Jonni, he is the one you are probably thinking of in the Bishops. He is the one who had a tough time in the past but seems now to be on a more positive journey and is happy again. I really like the song 'Don't Let Who You are Keep you Away'. I haven't seen him in many years, his father comes in once in a while where I work to get metal or some work done. I remember Kenny as a very sweet and friendly young man, we rode the same school bus. I've always admired his talents from the time I met him. I'm really enjoying this cd. He was nominated for a Grammy as well as winning Dove awards. Here's an article in our local paper about him.

Alright, Lainey--I know the Bishops and love them, too...now, is Kenny the "nice" brother, or is he the "stinker"? We used to go to see them all the time and I always loved the darker haired brother's voice but together they were really magnificent. Used to see them at the Indian Fort Theater outside Berea in the HOT summer :)

Jennifer!!! They are awesome, aren't they? They don't get played on the radio here, but when I was in Oklahoma and Texas this winter I heard them all the time. I don't understand why everyone isn't in love with them! I also adore Robert Earl Keen, Jr. So glad I found someone else with my taste!

I have had the Ragweeds in my truck's CD player for so long that as soon as my husband gets in, he ejects it without even looking, just assuming it will be them. He likes them, too, just not THAT much!

Toni! A Cross Canadian Ragweed sister!! They are my absolute favorite, I could listen to Soul Gravy over and over and over.

I've been listening to Del McCoury this morning and Robert Earl Keen, Jr.

Right now it is Cross Canadian Ragweed, but if it is not them, usually John Mellencamp, Springsteen, George Strait, Reckless Kelly, U2 or Paul Simon. But I have only bought two CDs in the past 3 years, so everything is old.

Paul Potts and the soundtrack from Juno. Talk about polar opposites!!

Indigo Girls, I love them, they are the reason I am trying to play the acoustic guitar. I have gone to see them almost every year since I can remember! I went when I didn't know I was pregnant, and then when I was 38 weeks! My son calms down in the car when I put them on, my husband about grits his teeth.

They are awesome and their female lead can sing like an angel.

Right now I'm listening to WSM Online (home of the Grand Ole Opry), but usually in my cd player, I have:
Conway Twitty
Josh Turner
Dierks Bentley
Jamey Johnson
George Strait
Kelly Willis
Marty Stuart

I'm getting ready to buy Shelby Lynne's new cd. I can't wait until Lady Antebellum's cd comes out. I still remember seeing them when they were playing in Nashville at one of the bars down there. I'm so glad that they are finally "making it" in the business. :)

Forgot to add Alison Krauss & Rhonda Vincent in with my bunch....
