And the rest of you gals in the tornado stricken areas, are you all ok? DH just called me at work and told me about the devastation there and I'm really worried about you all.

I just read this string and am anxious to hear if everyone is safe and sound as well. Thanks to all of you who are helping out!

Thanks for the info, Joy. That makes me feel better.

Frannie, I tried calling last night and got the same message. I was wondering if the storm had interrupted their service, too. Thank you for trying to reach them for me.

Thanks, Miss Wilma for getting back to us about Kathy. We were getting pretty worried when we didn't hear anything from her.

Ask Miss Wilma, I thought that at one point they'd "spoken" but I'm not sure. Might be the way to go, though.

Still no word from Kathy. I'm worried, you guys. Anybody have a way of reaching her other than email?

Did Kathy ever check in with anybody? What a devastating storm.

Angel-pie!(blushing) Frannie, I did send her an email but no response. Her computer throws tantrums a lot, so this is not unusual. However, it doesn't alleviate the worry right now. So, I'll email you her number as I don't know that she'd want it all over the internet. I sure would appreciate you giving her a call. You're such a sweetie!

Hi, Miss Wilma! Glad all is well with you, too. Still haven't heard from Kathy (knewslady) or all the rest in the other states.

As I understood it, Lisa, and saw on the map, it was coming North east, so think in terms of a diagonal line from Arkansas, going up to the east. It hit areas in Western and Central Kentucky, coming up through northern Kentucky and into Southwestern and eastern Ohio and I think that Somerset would have been out of it's path...they may have had some rain or something as an offset, but it surely wouldn't hurt to send a quick email.

Well, I've never been called an angel-pie before, but I like it. I'm so glad you all are ok so far. We have yet to hear from the rest.

Any of you gals hear anything about Somerset, KY? I have another girlfriend over there who is not part of this forum who I'm also worried about. I can't make a long distance call from work or I'd be on the phone right now.

thanks sweet lisa for your thoughts and concern. i spent the afternoon sweeping out our olde historical Jeremiah Abell log cabin .. for our fun 'town tour' when the farmgirls come to visit ... as the skies got darker and darker. (i don't listen to the news or even weather reports ... HA! honey hunk has instructions to give me fifteen minutes warning if the world is going to come to an end so i can call our daughters, grands and great-grands so i can tell them one more time how much i love them)! Hank belongs to Rotary Club (i swanee .. i think he goes there for the GREAT home-cookin' each week!) .. and last night was 'meetin' night. i decided to roam over there cuz' i heard our darling mayor was the guest speaker .. and was going to talk about 'our town' .. THEN .. with the skies a-bilin' with twirly clouds .. we decided to go to the local high-school basketball game. (small crowd .. hank surmised it wuz' because of the storm a-comin'). By the time the game was over (oh poooh! we lost in overtime!) well, the winds were a-whipping and rockin' the car .. on our way back up the road to the farm. And the heavens let loose with thunder, lightening and rain (which, always sounds so devine on the tin roof!) We lost electric a coupla' times .. but honey and i just ducked under the kivvers and snuggled .. and slept soundly like babies. AND .. this morning .. the cabins are still standing .. and the day is bright and glorious.

Again .. thanks for your sweet concern. ya'll gurlfrenz are such angel-pies! xo, Frannie

This is Hannah down in Greensburg, our sirens went off about 11:30 cst. and we headed for our daughter's cellar a few houses up. It's always so eerie running up the road in the middle of the night. No damage here though other than lack of sleep!

BE SURE TO LOOK AT OUR NEW WEBB PAGE...Thanks and enjoy every minute of this day!! Hannah

Checking in from Northern kentucky (and work--poo!) We had sirens at 1:15 am and crazy wind and some hail. Tree limbs around, but otherwise ok, Lisa--thank you kindly for asking you sweet thing!
