I need 2 pillows at night or my neck hurts in the morning. Last night my darling husband took one of my pillows away. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he must have done it in his sleep...

Today my neck is so sore and the Aleve I took an hour ago is just barely starting to work. The chair I am sitting in at work is supporting my neck and that helps too I think.

What do you do when you neck hurts?

I suffered with neck pain for years and finally went to the chiropractor starting in November. That has really helped. I made a rice bag that I heat in the micro and use on my neck between visits.

Alee, Try putting two tennis balls in a sock, knot the end and then put it behind your neck and lay on it. My physical therapist had me do this to relax the muscles in my neck when it was all messed up. I still do it when I am feeling tension in my neck. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry your neck is messed up, Alee. Unfortunately, I always end up seeing my chiro when I mess mine up. I can never get it to fix itself. I hope you can.

Alee...so sorry to hear about your neck pain. When my neck gets that way, I usually use a rice-filled sock and warm it up in the microwave for a 1 min-1 1/2...when I can, I try and get at least a 15-min chair massage at CO Bigelow (a retail bath & body store that has spa services at a decent price)...when I know that I am experiencing neck tension. If you have lavender and/or pepermint essential oil (or can find it at a local health food market/store), that is good for pain....hope you get to feeling better soon :-)
