Tonight Doug and I spent time together which sometimes feels like a rarity. So that was a good thing that happened to me that really made my day seem nice.

I also woke up at 3:30am which allowed me to get a lot of things done- like exercise!

So what happened today that make you smile or was nice or even good for you? It could be something that you did, or something someone did for you.

I didn't have anything good happen to myself today (in fact, I'm home from work with a kidney infection), but reading all of your good news has cheered me up! Congratulations to all of you who earned it, and good luck to all of you that need it!

Every morning my husband changes the first diaper and puts the coffee on. How did I get so lucky?

I had to take my Jeep in to get repaired and that meant getting a rental...ugh..but the ladies at Enterprise were very sweet and they upgraded at no cost to a full size truck so my car seat would fit and I would comfortable. She was so nice and made sure I git in the truck, helping me adjust everything and she told me if I didn't like it, come back and they would give me something bigger, no costs!!

Cheers,
Heather

Congratulations Jess on the prosperity you're calling in!

I have a job interview in Chicago next week when I go visit my DB. It's had me a little rattled because I've felt the timing was all wrong. You see I have a "plan". Uh oh. And this is truly a dream job.
I spoke with my 18 yr. old daughter yesterday and asked her how she would feel if I was offered this job. She graduates in June.
She responded in the most lovely and adult manner by saying "I think you should move Mama. You're not happy here and I think that's where you need to be!" Wow.
So yesterday I opened up to a job and a move and chose to be open to all the delicious possibilities God is bringing to me. In spite of my "plan" LOL!
For me, that was/is huge.

I got a cute ecard from a friend to cheer me up and encourage me. I also received a package in the mail- it was from a swap but still it came exactly when I needed it- after a stressful day driving my dh around- he is the worst backseat driver.

Blessings, Debra

Well today has been very springlike and I have been searching endlessly for a new job. I was talking to a couple of good acquaintances and they gave me some really good contacts for places they knew were desperately needing someone. One of them was somewhere that I have been wanting to get my foot in the door. They are going to call tomorrow as well to give them a good word about me. Then I got emails from a few more close friends with help and contacts. Hopefully the stars and the planets will all align and I'll have something soon. :)

How nice, Alee.

Well, they moved my office to the lower level, which is very hard for me because there is a decided lack of natural light or nature, whereas my other office sat "in the trees" and I'd watch the birds and squirrels which I love...

Our office manager thanked me for how well I've taken the move and all the "crapola" that goes along with it...that I'd made her life so much easier by just being adaptable and she wanted me to know how much she appreciated it. That was very nice to hear, especially when my heart isn't really in it :)
