oh gurlz! you're gonna' be sooooo treated to a wonderful 'reception' buffet at our historic courthouse the night of ONE MAN's LINCOLN play.
i found out today that we will be using linens and fine china .. and having grilled pork loin .. asparagus roll-ups .. warm broccoli dip .. a variety of cheese balls .. cheese tortellini skewers .. antipasto .. spiced nuts and yummy desserts!
WOWZER .. i thought this was going to be a quickie cookies and punch reception! (we're having 'MOCK CHAMPAGNE' (Green County is a DRY County .. NO ALCOHOL served in public places!
this is gonna' be such fun! i'm so pleased you will be attending!

What fun....puddle jumpin' count me in  Tho it looks like it will be wet, the main thing is the snow factor, which for right now looks pretty clear for the white stuff.

Frannie!!!!! Can't wait, can't wait. Food sounds really yummy and sounds like we are gonna be really spoiled :-)
Hubby will be getting the rental car Thursday (14th), but we won't head out till Friday EARLY morning (hopefully)...so we should get there by the time you all head into town (I hope)....but I know that if I do run a tad late, that I can "catch up" with you all. Weather report so far does not look too bad....Friday...partly cloudy and rain, scattered rain showers, hi of 38....of course it should get a bit warmer as we head down the road.
Camera will be all charged up and ready to go for the weekend
9 more days to go....wooooohooooo!

and the arts council has asked if i will give the Jeremiah Abell Log Cabin 'tour' .. i think it starts at 5:00 .. and everyone is supposed to be there at that time .. where the tour begins .. i think i'll be able to join you all for the rest of the tour (but i might have to 'catch up' to you! i'm hoping my sweetie pie Rev. Charlie will be with me there too! (the historic log cabin belongs to the Presbyterian Church .. and Rev. Charlie is the pastor .. ha! i'll tell you some cute stories about him when you get here! I ADORE HIM!!!
And OH MY GOSH! i stopped by Sam Moore's office (Sam and Mimi are the 'king and queen' of Green County .. you 'll met them . they are DEAR! Sam has some 'history' on the Cabin and Jeremiah Abell . .the presbyterian preacher who lived in the cabin and preached at the church in the 1700's. OH MY GOSH .. WE ALL LAUGHED SO HARD AT SOME OF THE INFO THAT WAS 'DUG UP' .. honestly, not sure i can 'share it' on the tour .. but i told the gurlz .. you know ME .. i'm probably gonna' tell!!!
(the term "indiscriminate liasions with married women" was used!!!) what a hoot!
I'm also rounding up a few spartan pieces of furniture to put in there to make it look 'lived in' during the 1800's!

oh .. and i stopped by city hall today to check on our reservations .. we've got 'em!! we just have to be back in town by about 4:45 p.m.
we'll be leaving Freedom Valley at about 11 a.m. (eastern time) to head for town .. cuz' i've added another stop to our fun day .. our own Farm Girl Pamela' Behind Thyme shoppe. She's completely re-doing it .. making one of her shoppes quite 'shabby chic' feminine and her other one (both on her property) more prim!
BE SURE TO BRING YOUR CAMERAS .. AND DON'T FORGET A 'POEM' TO SHARE!!! (no! You don't have to write it . . but you can if you wanna') .. jus' one of your favorite poems!
