Posted - Jan 28 2008 : 1:55:15 PM My grandma and grandpa were married 100 years ago. And my mom still had grandma's cake topper. It's very fragile and some of their little hands are missing. The wedding certificate is so flowery and elaborate. I took the pink colors of the flowers and used it in two rooms of my house. The gloves in the shadow box were the ones my grandfather wore in the wedding. Don't know what happened to her dress.

Posted - Jan 28 2008 : 4:21:54 PM So pretty, Janice. The wedding certificates were beautiful, weren't they? My great gran's had cherubs flying with golden ribbon and swallows. I've never seen a cake topper that old...were they affluent at all? Just asking because most weddings weren't "celebrated" the way we do now. How lucky you are that your family kept those items!!!!
