Well, Miss Wilma, we'll learn together! I was a classically trained ballerina, and I call myself "rhythmically challenged" :)

Miss Wilma, you'll have to let me know sometime if you take a listen to Jus's cd...some of the songs might be too "rockin'" but there are at least 3 that I can think of you'd adore. He's the singer, as well as guitarist on that, and I think his voice is real pretty, if I do say so myself

Jessie we are planning that wont we have fun,You will love Jonnie and her husband, She has beautiful hair and the prettiest eyes you ever saw, I did not see one thing that wasnt pretty about her, Instant adoption, And her husband is so easy to talk to , bless his heart he never did tell me shut my big mouth the first time, you know how I can talk when I get excited, And Jessie I wish you could have heard him on Sterls old Martin

I'm glad that you kiddos had a wonderful time!!! I wish I could be there too but we're getting ready for company later in the week and I've been like a mad woman cleaning like crazy here. We all got to get together sometime soon and definitely have some good ole fashion bluegrass pickin session. :)

Woo Hoo, Jeannie! I used to say, "you can't beat that with a stick" all the time! I love that phrase, and I can't for the life of me remember what (I say now that) replaced it. You're sure right though, you can't We had the best day and my outlook on this week of work and daily life is better for the time I spent with Miss Wilma. Rejuvinated and striving towards a better world.

Yep, all you farmgirls should just move to the Bluegrass!

Four years...I'll start saving my pennies now. That would be a wonderful occasion to come share with your extended family. Oh, guess I should have asked if other farmgirls can come too.
KYgurlsrbest Posted - Jan 27 2008 : 6:54:39 PM
I was too (jittery), though, as I said...just before we arrived, I checked myself in the mirror and said to Justin, "You might have told me I look like a sick cat!!!" He laughed and said it was almost like I was going on a first date! Well, I sort of was! You know, all my folks have passed on, save my mom, and it's so good to know that there is "family" out there. I'll work up the pie and you get working on some Springtime weather for porch picking!!! It would be wonderful to usher in your 50th with such fanfare!!!

Miss Wilma! We got home just a bit ago, got the dogs out and settled, fed the cats and played with Daisy Bad Seed (the beagle) and now I'm sitting down to tell how WONDERFUL a time WE HAD and how beautiful and gracious you are. You welcomed us into your home just like we were family, and it WAS like we had known each other forever and ever. A fellow floor sitter I never expected to find! How dear of you to let Jus play that guitar--he beamed all the way home, and said that you made him feel good about foolin around playing.... I am so happy that you like your picture--I hoped you might. My little corncob baby is set up in a pretty little egg basket, and tomorrow evening, I will find a place for my "Old Kentucky" gems!!! I thought all the way home about that gourd and I have several uses. I'll post a photo as soon as I settle one one...
Next time, I'll bring my homemade sweet potato pie (though it would NEVER rival those fried apple pies--goodness!!!) and the "boys" can do some porch pickin!!! And Jessie and her husband, too, please!!! Thanks isn't enough for such a lovely day...
