On my little blog, I posted up about our one and only Kentucky Castle with a photo...go take a peek.  I'll be sure to take a photo once the renovation is completed. Hopefully I'll be able to go inside and take some photos. It's something that has been a memory since I was little.

Let me see what the schedule for Keeneland is. You can take morning tours even when it isn't racing season. It is so beautiful there. You'll have to come back down there to visit the grounds and then we'll take an adventure to Wilma's!

That would be great. I thought I saw some activity there last Autumn when I came to Versailles to visit the not-so-little girl I used to babysit, Jill. Her father and my father were horsemen at the tracks together, and her daddy passed away just before she turned 18, and he had promised to take her to Keeneland for her birthday, so I went in his place. Both springtime and autumn at Keeneland are incredibly beautiful!!!!
It would be great if love could actually live in the castle this time, right?

I love Keeneland in the spring time. They have the prettiest trees. We've been to a few of the races just to watch the horses and relax.
The castle is just beautiful. They are hoping to make it into a bed & breakfast and also host events like weddings, etc. It is just about 5 minutes from us but we drive by it almost every day. I'll post up new photos this week to show more progress.

I always thought that was such a sad story, Jess. I'm really glad to know it's being continued. I can remember my daddy driving me by it on our way to Keeneland for the Spring meet and telling me the story of the man and his love.

Thanks for the update! I didn't realize that it was being rebuilt after the fire. I remember the first time I drove past it...I had never heard of the place but I was like "Whoahhh! COOL!" I was bummed when I heard it had burnt!
