Hey girls. I have about 15 minutes and wanted to say hi and thank everyone again for all your prayers & thoughts. Also, I hit a realization yesterday that I thought would be harder to handle which surprisingly isnt. You all know how I always wanted my little farm, just a small one but a farm. Well, with all the health problems surrounding my husband, we both realize it wont happen in exactly that way. God knows the future not us but he has put it in my heart to think smaller. And it is ok. I love cottages also and as long as I can grow my wild flowers, some tom. and lots of herbs, I'll be happy. We dont want to look at a home & property that will be more then we can afford down the road if health problems become too much. I want to know I can care for us by myself if need be. With a yard, I can still have rabbits, my bird & dog. Im thinking of a small cottage industry also with my spinning & herbs, not sure yet but Shepardess has the best wool thats great to spin and I'll use hers instead of having my own sheep. Months ago Clare told me to try to be happy where I am so if something doesnt happen were not so upset. She was right. A farm on that scale may not be in my life plan but growing things and living the farmgirl mentally ALWAYS will be whether I live in a small cottage or a large farmhouse. I am ok with it all and it will be fun looking for a small cottage type home that I KNOW we can afford instead of going larger and being afraid to lose it. Besides, look at all the great farmgirl merchandiase I can get from all of you!! Thanks for listening again.  Michele

I know you've also mentioned the dream of registered paints....what about miniatures, they'd work well at a cottage?

Michele: I hope things are going well with your husband and that you are feeling better about caring for him.
I can relate very well to your realization. All of our lives we need to adapt and that's part of the learning and growing process. I too have a dream of a 2400 sq. ft. dream home farm house. However, I also have a plan for a 1400 sq. ft. Cottage that is absolutely adorable. Only time will tell which way it will go, either way, it will be a joy. I'm the type that would much rather have quality over quantity and that seems to be the general feeling of fellow Farmgirls.

There's a lot of truth to the saying "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans." It's sometimes hard to learn to listen to His plans for us and be lead in the direction He wants us to go but you seem to have done this very well.
