I am having a hard time getting rested (I refuse to take any sleeping pills) but when I sleep which is a decent amount I dream the WHOLE time. I am one of those people that dream and remember the majority of my dreams. I swear I have been dreaming every darn night for 4 weeks. I feel exhausted. They are the dreams about doing wash, or moving something, or real life things that when I'm awake I'm confused as to what is true and what was a dream. Dreamt my clothes were picked up and cleaned.....NOPE much to my dismay!

Yeah I think I need to do something. I'm all parched and dried out when I wake up and congested. I never do well with the heat. I'll look into a water vaporizer

Bridget-

Maybe is the dry heat contributes to bad dreams for you- could you put a water vaporizor next to your side of the bed?

AH, thank you judith! I think that might be key. I dream fine or better in spring and summer aka not the dry heat in the house. That is bugging me to no end. I'll stick some scented things near me!

I would suggest looking at Jim Long's book, "Making Herbal Dream Pillows: Secret Blends for Pleasant Dreams (The Spirit of Aromatherapy)" - I have it at home. He lists what herbs contribute to what types of dreams in the book and then you can make your own dream pillow blend that may enhance the kinds of dreams you _want_ to have...it's worth a try. Good luck! In a pinch, just try lavender buds in a little muslin bag or a bit of lavender essential oil (don't try using anything artificial, be sure it's ESSENTIAL oil) on a kleenex or hankie - it should lead to more restful sleep. Let us know if anything helps. FarmGirl Hugs, Judy

I dream like that too. My dh gets up at 4 am and it wakes me up, so my original dream gets interrupted and that's ususally a pretty good dream. But if I go back to sleep after he leaves, it's always and I mean ALWAYS a disturbing dream - usually about neglected babies and toddlers. Last night, there was a little girl lying in the grease trough, (an oversize grease trough, for sure) on a grill in a restaurant. How bizarre is that? I had just offerred to cook breakfast for her and her siblings who hadn't eaten breakfast in months, and next thing I knew she was lying, naked, on the grease trough of the grill. Go figure. Wish I could get rid of this habit.

I'm right there with ya! I have dreamed chaotically my entire life. I still remember dreams from my childhood. I have tried all the prescription and OTC sleep aids and none have helped. My mom has been trying to get me to try melatonin for years- she uses it for her Sundowners Syndrome patients. Well, because the prescriptions didnt work I assumed that a little ol' natural supplement DEFINITELY wouldn't! Exhausted, I finally tried it about a month ago and I was AMAZED! I still dream all night but I wake up refreshed and go to bed more easily. This is a BIG deal for me. I have never felt like I have gotten a decent nights sleep and now I've had a month's worth and boy howdy, has it changed my waking hours!
