and I ran across a floppy disk titled, "JL personal 99/00" and so, out of curiosity, I popped it into the computer. Wow. What a trip, or rather, a huge stumble down memory lane! It's basically email communications saved from the long-distance (and somewhat long-term) relationship with a guy in NYC named Bartley. He and I dated for about a year and half before I met Justin--correction, there are three emails whose dates actually OVERLAP when I met and started hanging out with Justin, I guess while I was building up my courage to say, "See ya!". In the emails, Justin seems to play the role of a new girlfriend named "Stacy" (ummm...don't KNOW a Stacy) that I just met, and had a lot in common with. Actually, our very first date is actually described in detail, only I ate Thai food with STACY.

I don't really recall being that deceptive, but I do remember thinking when I met Justin and talked with him on his stoop until 5 in the morning, "Bartley, who???"....

Better get rid of the evidence now!!!!

I've been busy and haven't been able to hop on the site for a while, but just had to check your response! Ok, YOU aren't moving. Just your office :)!
Whew.

My office is moving--inside our law office, though. I'm moving back down to the first floor, because we just hired an associate, and he didn't want to be in the third floor, away from everyone...I get to pick my new carpet color and paint color, so it's "somewhat" exciting. Nope, I'm not going anywhere...why would I when you're thinking of moving to our fair state!!!

Jonni - Wait a minuite - where are you moving to? That great auction house just moved in down the street and you are going to move away from it? I'm sure that you are staying in KY though!?!

Great story by the way. My true love just came home with Chinese. So ta ta for now.

"Stacy" and I actually had dinner in Hyde Park, at Bangkok Bistro and then had a couple of drinks, played the jukebox and played a VERY comptetive game of darts at Hap's Irish Pub, just next door.
Bartly was a diplomat's son, and very worldly--almost too worldly, if you get my drift. I did date men from all over the world, but isn't funny that when push came to shove, I married a boy from just across the river? I was moving, too when we met--back to NYC to be with Bartley, and then, enter Jus. Took my house of the market after a month of dating.

In retrospect, Stacy was a good friend afterall

Did you & Stacy eat Thai food in Mt Adams?? No doubt being the adorable Barbie you are, you had admirers worldwide.. Hopefully none of us farmgirls accidentally call Jus Stacy.. I can see the blank stare now.
