were okay and so is the house. The breaker in the kitchen had flipped a few time in the last few days and I tonight I just had a funny feeling. Richie was gone to get his hair cut and I just had that 6th sense that something wasn't right. I called a family friend who does electrical work and he offered to come right over and take a look. He asked me to start the dishwasher, the microwave and the toaster since those pull the most energy and we could see if it was a weak breaker. He was in the back room at the breaker box and was in the kitchen. All of a sudden flames and smoke were coming out of the wall outlet! As soon as Jim cut the power it stopped! I guess the problem was that the outlet had gone bad and the wires caught fire and even melted a lot of plastic! Jim is going to pick us up a new outlet tomorrow and come rewire it for us! Boy am I glad I listened to my gut cause it could have been really bad!
