Posted - Jan 06 2008 : 12:25:07 PM Richard hung up that candle holder I got at the thrift a few days ago. Looks pretty good. So glad I got it, I almost didn't because I couldn't think where I would put it. Put my lace curtains back up in the kitchen, all because I felt my plant needed more light. I worked for 32 years, maybe I need to go back to work. NOT! NANCY JO

Posted - Jan 07 2008 : 07:35:05 AM Nancy - someday when I get a new computer, I will do a blog. Right now, it takes an eternity to download photos.
I like your lace curtains, too. I have a set of 8 panels I just took down from the bedroom windows downstairs. And sometime I use them as table cloths! Over a white cloth, they look so pretty.
I just ordered a pair of Colburn Geranium check curtains for my dining room from Country Curtains. Can't wait to get them. I have not had curtains on that window ever, just a valance, and so now I have to go and buy a rod, and little rings, so they will open and close easily, and yes one thing always leads to another! :)

Posted - Jan 06 2008 : 5:08:41 PM OOOO< I like your curtains. I want to make some for our new home, I made some curtains with the seed packt fabric design years and years ago. I had ordered or got some like 3 inches wide or a little wider eyelet ruffle lace to go on the edges. It looks pretty good still. I have some of that fabric left I might be able to use that in my new kitchen/dinning area too. Love your pictures as usual. Pinkroses

Posted - Jan 06 2008 : 4:10:13 PM Jeannie, I wish you would do a blog so I could see what you are up to. YES, love to play house. Sometimes it gets out of control, you know move one thing and the whole house needs changed around. One time years ago I got a new tablecloth and we had to get a new living room set to match it. Very tricky thing playing house. NANCY JO

Posted - Jan 06 2008 : 3:18:14 PM I love the candle holder - I would have one like that over my dining table if it would not be so hard to keep wax from dripping when we have dinner! Plus lighting the candles each night.....let's see, that is 14.00 per day.....but still it is pretty!!!!!
Oh, and the going back to work thing......32 years - you can play house now and enjoy. That is what I love to do too.

Posted - Jan 06 2008 : 12:27:53 PM That candle holder is the coolest thing! I REALLY, REALLY like it! It looks great hanging up! And I'm sure the plant will now grow even larger in gratitude for all the extra light. :D
