My only real resolution is to go back to being vegetarian. I always feel better as a vegetarian and so there it is.

Rob and I resolved to have more sex-which is always a good thing ;) and we resolved not to give so much of a care about the distaste our families have for the simple way we live. We are happy, our children are healthy and happy, so what does it matter what our families think?

Rob resolved to stop smoking. He had his last cigarette last night and I-the one with the hyper developed olfactory system-am to punch him if I so much as smell cigarettes on him. I can do that. I think. otherwise I can give the cold shoulder like no one's business.

We have also resolved to say 'no' more often. He and I have a serious problem with trying to help everyone who asks for anything. We really have to stop doing that. People are starting to take advantage.

So what do you resolve?

Yeah I like to think of goals:)
1. Lose 10 lbs and get in shape like so I can run and bend over with out my pudge letting me know its there. I'm 130 and according to our new scale a few over that, I beg to differ. Eat better and more organically and watch portions.
2. Get organized. Get rid of stuff especially all the beauty products and reincorporate natural products, sell stuff or give away things we don't use. Clean out the basement so we can make it into an office/family room/guest room. It's HUGE. Clean out the Play room to be my studio.
3. Finances. Save Save Save. Shop less. I would love to save up and this may sound silly to you all but I don't make much so $1,000 in my savings. I want to increase my new worth I think that's what its called.
4. Read the Barnes and Noble classics
5. Learn the fiddle more
6. Read the bible, have positive thoughts, show gratitude, not care what others think, this is a FOREVER constant struggle because I was brought up to be aware of how I acted looked and what others thought because of our family. You know when you come from a upper middle class family. I have to remember the saying "Be who you are && say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter && those who matter don't mind"
7. Believe in myself and love myself

I don't like resolutions. I think that it creates too much pressure -- if I don't keep the resolution then I feel bad. I like to set goals instead. That way I can work toward my goals.

My goals for 2008:

Read my Bible every day
Journal every day
Eat healthier and hopefully lose some weight
Exercise more
Watch less TV
Create new products and grow my business
Sew and create things for me and my home - I tend to look at everything as something that need to be sold in my business. I want to create and enjoy my creations.

Here are my resolutions:

Get my life more organized. House, Education, Finances-all of it needs a bit more organization that I have been giving it.

Get Healthy. We need to cook healthier, exercise and not indulge so much. I need to lose about 15-20 lbs to be healthy, but I really want to focus not just on the scale, but also on the weight training and exercise portion.

I want to watch less TV. I don't watch a whole lot, but for example, I just found myself watching a show just because the TV was on. I didn't really want to watch the show- I was completely indifferent about the show- so I turned the TV off. It would be great if I turned the TV off more often.

I want to complete this upcoming semester with nothing less than a B. Preferably I would like to get straight A's.

I want to move our family to Billings, MT and get settled and ready for the next semester.

Phew! Looks like I have a busy year ahead of me!

I resolve to take good care of myself, body mind and spirit. I also reslove to live my life like I used to, by no one elses rules or opinions.I know what you mean Tasha about not giving so much of a care as to what other people think of how we live. All I hear is I need to get a life, by that they mean, go live in Florida all winter in a teensy little mobile home and a lot the size of a postage stamp. I have nothing against mobile homes I have lived in many and loved them. But, I don't want to go to Florida or we would. I don't like what I call the blacktop jungle either, I love our country home and all that goes with it. I don't know why more people can't just live and let live as my Mom used to say. Sorry, I didn't mean to get carried away there ! I just get so sick of people thinking we should live like they do, or there is something seriuosly wrong with us. I also resolve to say no more often and not feel guilty about it. It's funny, I think alot of us have similar resolutions! Good luck to all of us. Let's keep checking and see how all of us are doing.

Tasha I resolve to stop cussing. It is very unlady like, but I admit I have a filthy mouth.I would also like to manage my time better, and to "fall"back in love with LIFE again, I have alot to be thankful for, just need to remind myself. I would also plan on reading the Secret and putting it into ACTION!! Goodluck Tasha!!
