Well The way it happened is I was staying home being a good girl, well I was staying home anyway. Then my friend comes over for lunch and I gave her some gifts I had for her. Then she says, hey, want to go to the thrift store, well I was in the car while she was still putting her coat on. Now I thought this is a good thing, because come to think of it I won't be going until after Christmas if I don't go today. Well I got some really nice things and so I want to thank my friend for coming over and insisting I go. So I have had a really good day so far. Beautiful gifts from MARYBETH, and an unexpected trip to the thrift. I don't think I have to cook dinner either, what is going on here?

It is a terrible illness is it not! I am sometimes more sick than other times. This Holiday season I am committed to going through my dozens of storage totes to see just what I have forgotten that I have bought and organize all my finds so that I have room for more fabulous finds in the up coming year. With my new job I will be out and about in many different cities so you know there will be new thrift stores, rummage sales and garbage days to discover. My husband I am sure is beginning to think I need a 12 step program. He keeps talking about getting me a smaller car with little to no trunk. But i am holding out and on to my Intrepid with the trunk big enough to stow many thrift finds.

Nancy, honey it is ok. You are sick. You have an addiction. I have it too. The only cure is a trip to the thrift store. Just remember withdrawal is painful. So go!

How funny, Nancy Jo! I left a message on your blog before I saw this post. Do you realized that is 3 whole days until Christmas. I just don't think you'll hold out that long. And besides, I love seeing your "found" treasures ALMOST as much as I love going to the thrift myself! So come one ... make just one more trip ... please!
