Girls, I think I found a great magazine you all would love! I just recieved my first issue (Aug/Sept) and it is awesome! Wonderful and old fashioned country recipes and kitchen/food/preparation advice. It is laid out like a 1950's style magazine, very quaint! The recipes sound delicous! Whiskey Glazed Pork chops, slow cooker boston baked beans, an heirloom tomato buying guide, low fat chocolate cake, fresh corn fritters (YUM) better macaroni salad...on and on. Take a peek. www.cookscountry.com

I picked one up a few weeks ago. Loved it! I think I may ask for a subscription for Christmas...and send a few too!

Just recieved my November issue of Cooks Country. Wonderful!!!! There is an excellent article on roasting winter squash, and a nice fullpage guide to varieties of winter squash, their flavor and uses, including the hubbards. A great vintage recipe for Quaker Bonnet Biscuits ( attention Bramble)! This is a great magazine!

Well, add me to the list of free issue orderers! I'm trying to focus on more nutritious meals at home and this should help!

it's great. I get it from a friend who gives them to me. I've tried alot of the recipes, they are good natural foods and easy to make. Michele

Cooks Illustrated is definitely a great mag.

But I'm looking for this one tonight while in Tulsa -- just what I need, another magazine! :)
