Posted - Dec 14 2007 : 10:39:57 PM Something nice other than the usual candle, lotions, etc... to give to my DS's teachers. There are 4 ladies, ranging in age from 20 to 50.
I was thinking gift certificates to the mall or something like a pedicure..is that tacky?? I don't want to spend a lot..
Thanks.

Posted - Dec 15 2007 : 05:49:31 AM oh the pedicure or whatever would be nice...I worked in a daycare and got a lot of crap, it was all nice for the thought but yes mugs, teacher paraphernalia, lotions, and all that stuff. Something to "treat" themselves is great!!! Or the homemade one of a kind thing that is fabulous:)

Posted - Dec 15 2007 : 04:55:31 AM i'm giving all the 'sweet friends' who do dear 'services' those beautiful little 'vintage linen' POCKETS with a beautiful 'silverplate' serving piece in it .. only cost me about $5. each .. and looks to be a $25. gift .. and pretty serving pieces can be used by everyone at holiday meals .. or when they take a 'covered' dish on a pretty plate or bowl to a 'pot luck' gathering.

Posted - Dec 15 2007 : 04:37:12 AM They would probably love it. While teachers love the usual stuff, I wonder just how many lotion sets, coffee mugs, etc. one person needs?
One year I bought some inexpensive tote bags and put in some pens, pencils and stickers from the Dollar Tree teacher section. They went over really well.
