Or how my day went today (so far)...
1) Woke up at 6, intending to eat breakfast, take shower and prepare for the day before DS wakes up for daycare. Actually spent 45 minutes checking email, making DS's breakfast and quickly dressed in jeans and old t-shirt and boots, will shower later, first breakfast for me- 2 cordial cherry chocolates.
Dog out/Dog in
2)7 A.M.- Grumpy almost 2 year old wakes up and first words are "DORA!!!" Smile, sing Good morning (DORA), hugs, kisses (DORA IN MORE DEMANDING VOICE) place Mr. Grumpy in chair and give him breakfast (DORA DORA DORA!!!! in high pitch tone that only the dog understands and immediately heads back to bedroom to hide)
3) 7:30- Dress Mr. Grumpy while watching....yup...Dora...realizing hair is disaster so comb down with some water hoping to look stylish and not so bed head...ha...
4) 7:50- out the door (after TEARFUL goodbye to Dora), drop off DS and make the daily journey to Starbucks- yes bad on the budget and backside but a Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha is SOOOO good for the soul...
5) 8:15- Drive past drugstore- rememember about the "Cherries in the Snow" in other thread- decide MUST-HAVE-NOW....detour into store, frantically searching like it is my child lost, praying it is there...find with a DELIGHTFUL squeal...spend 20 minutes browsing all the cute things you can find only in a drug store...GGRRR- spend $20 on some nail polish and "stuff"...don't ask...
6) 8:50- return home with best intentions of cleaning and eating something healthy for breakfast and taking shower. Reality sets in and I surf Maryjanes, Old Navy, email, and one other crafting site for ...oh my...1 1/2 hours..decided to forgo shower and wrap hair in pink bandana and eat 2 more chocolate covered cherries and a leftover biscuit for breakfast...Coffee is just warm enough to drink!! YUMMMY!!
Dog out/dog in/dog out/dog in....
7) 10:30- run around house with garbage bag picking up obvious garbage and stub toe only 2 times today ( I am doing good ) while hauling the small canister vacuum to clean up the paper "snowflakes" my son so sweetly decorated the house with.
Dog out/dog in
8) 11:30- remember I needed to check on all christmas orders and again, spend 2 hours on the web...don't ask
9) 1:30 - try to make "healthy" lunch while making phone calls and writing out resume. Turkey on whole wheat...good so far...get distracted by yummy american cheese , (dog out/dog in), figure well what is a little mayo then and an extra pickle.
10) Get half way done with resume, look something up on internet, find new site to peruse for 30 minutes, (dog out/dog in), realize it is now almost 4 and I yet to do anything all day...

Quickly wash face, put on lip gloss and get ready to get DS...(dog out/dog in).....

Yep...this was the extent of my day....so sad....LOL

Cheers,
Heather

Too funny! I have deja vu all over again. This really sounded like one of my days expect my boys are older.

was in Walgreen's for an hour (!?!) and I only went in for a prescription To get may printer cartridge filled. The machine was down and they were out of Cherries in the Snow. I also bought milk, lip balm, Real Simple and some lip exfoliater stuff. How this that happen?

yea, i know sort of goes like that around here, (7 yr. old daughter, says --eww, she(2 yr old who eats dirt!) is licking the tv and it has dust on it! well all this means is that now there is a little less dust!) it takes us all morning to get everyone ready to get out the door to go get milk! oh, and tring to get back in! let me see, 3 gallons of milk in a box, 4 kids to get in -past the 3 cold cats, phone is ringing, phone goes dead, husband calls on another phone, wants to know if his builders paid their already late bills, and were did the checks come from ......, house to pick up so it doesn't look like NOTHING got done around here today!! and snow is coming. that means more days with husband home (he works construction) i won't even get started on what the last 4!!! days were like when he was home because of ice. lets just say i sure wish he had a shop to go to instead of poking around in my kitchen! prayer: Lord give me patience, and keep my tongue from lashing out!
