Well that didn't work, I went and bought and am glad I did. Got a nice braided rag rug, a lamp, a basket, whole bunch of jewelry, a book. Oh and I posted a picture of Aunt Wilma's bird's new home. Of course I spelled Wilma's name wrong on my site. Sometimes I just get to excited. I'M OK NOW.

Well today wasnt a day for the weak in heart, There was a bunch of us down there and we got to telling snake tales . Believe you me a snake is not going to last very long on this property if I can get a hold of my hoe. They scare me to death , I for got to tell her that we used to live in Eastern KY and there are some churches there that believe in handling snakes, it so happens that one of my sister in laws goes to one of those churches I reacon it was a sight to see how fast she grabbed the two kids and got out the night one of them got loose, My other sister in law and I have always got a big laugh about how fast she could run Miss Wilma

It's been a long day but I must let everyone know that this morning Art and I traveled down to Wilma's sale. The setting is so country and when we walked in the door of her shop - well we just knew we were in the right place!
Miss Wilma greeted us as only a TRUE Kentuckian can and we spent over two hours walking from room to room admiring all her wonderful hand mades and antiques. Everywhere we looked there was something unique either displayed or tucked in between.
It is definitely the place to go for a special gift or a treat for yourself....we did both! I even found a stocking stuffer for Art and bought it right under his nose and he was none the wiser. I found a tiny square Christmas gift box that I immediately loved as I remembered it from the 1940's....and when Miss Wilma was wrapping my purchases she slipped the box into our bag and it was now a 'gift to me', how special. And..........also a jar of her homemade apple butter, you have never tasted anything more delicious! Tonight I made a pan of homemade biscuits and the jar is half gone already!
Oh, I need to mention that one of the rooms is a guest bedroom although you can shop in the room...you just can't buy the bed as I understand that is where Mary Jane sleeps when she comes to visit Miss Wilma! She must feel like a Queen when she wakes up in the morning.
I wish I could post the photos I took but not set up yet, I will send a couple to some of my new friends who requested them first chance I get.
I hope you all did something fun today and are enjoying the Christmas season as much as we are.

I try so hard to stay away but my car just keeps dragging me back. It has a regular route that it takes me on. I am not in control! Now this summer with my new job it gives me freedom to rummage anytime. Oh I'm in trouble!!!!!! I need to get a blog going to show some of my finds.

Judy, thank you, Jack and Dave love all the attention they can get. They were so excited because they even got a mention on a lot of the Christmas cards.
Nance, my car is very dependable.

I love the star quilt, and made more special by Jack & Dave's presence. And the rag rug is a great deal for $2...And I knew from the title that you must have gone anyhow!!! Happy Friday! Stay warm, Judy

Boy when I saw the topic of THIS thread I had to dive in......NOT GOING TO THE THRIFT? AND YES I AM SCREAMING. Glad to see your car at least took matters into her own hands and set you straight. Beautiful snowfall photo of your back yard too; I am insanely jealous as we had near 80 degrees Monday and Tuesday... Hugs, Nance
