a wardrobe you wear when you gain weight? I am feeling so dumpy and dowdy lately - I know I have gained weight and it feels yucky. None of my clothes fit right and it's a vicious circle because it depresses me, then I eat - you know the drill. I think I gained because I sat around in our RV for two months while we were in AZ - I knitted and kept busy, but didn't really get any exercise. Now I have NOTHING to wear. Any suggestions of inexpensive clothing I could pick up to tide me over til I get rid of this weight? Went to the thrift store yesterday, but I guess only skinny people have been cleaning out their closets.

Our thrift stores keep having more large clothes, must be some sort of successful gym around here or something. I keep telling myself I will not buy a bigger size, so I stick to my elastic waist things.

I am there with you
I am Diabetic type 2.
I have to excerise regually,
I have gained more muscle tone.
I do the attakins shakes and energy bars
They are really good and gives you engery to excerise
My engery level have gone down quite a bit because of all the
diseases and conditons I have
But, try to get more lean meats and do strengthening excersose
Use a stationary bike
And a 2 lb, dumb bell, exerscisng your arms,
Good luck, on that,
I have skinny clothes and extra-large ones, you know like plus sizes
since I have been doing all those things I have lost at least 2 dress sizes
The weight is about the same
But, I have toned up,
People who haven't seen me in a while will say
Gee You have lost a lot of weight
Hugs to you Pinkroses

I love Old Navy- I love those stretchy gaucho pants (though I haven't seen them lately) I have 3 pairs for "those" days. I also buy stretchy cotton t-shirts in pretty colors that have the longer hem line. Good undies that smooth you without suffocating you have made a HUGE difference for me. I have that "baby" belly that is S-L-O-W-L-Y going away. Target sells some nice panties for this.

Oh that and some HOT RED toenails always makes me feel slimmer!!!

Cheers,
Heather

Thanks ladies - I always forget about Old Navy - they are great for those kind of clothes.

Sherri, I know exactly how you feel. I started working at an office job a couple of years ago (sitting at a computer all day after years of running up and down stairs in retail). All of a sudden I find that my clothes are getting outgrown before they get outworn.

I'd suggest some comfy exercise/yoga pants for around the house. Maybe an empire waist dress for nicer occasions. You should find some stylish things at Target or Old Navy for $20 or less. And you'll probably be able to wear them after you've lost a few pounds as well, so it's not a waste of money.

funny about the skinny girls! i always think that all the time. i have more of a wardrobe for loosing weight, i could go down 4-5 sizes and not "need" to buy more clothes!!! a stretchy skirt would be a good buy, this way you can keep it when the "extra"comes off. but i wish i would never bought bigger clothes, this just seem to keep me in that size. the # just seems to keepgetting bigger!!! ug
