I had such a wonderful time yesterday, thanks to my wonderful husband for asking me along on his business trip, I got to meet Nance in France. She is such a great, wonderful, beautiful woman. Her house is absolutely the most adorable. We had a great time talking, eating lunch, sitting by the Christmas tree drinking hot tea and eating some wonderful cookies. She had some amazing crafts, scarfs, cards, and wreaths, they were gorgeous. She really needs an Etsy. Girls if you ever get the chance to meet her, you better take her up on it. I only wish I wasn't leaving Norfolk today.
I have certainly found a new Farm Girl friend for life.
Thank you Nancy for a lovely afternoon!

Hugs,
Robin

Unfortunately, hubby did not join me on this trip to the states, and I absentmindedly forgot to bring the cheap digital camera we have (we have a nicer high end one also so I figured I'd put the little one in my bag). Oh well, another time. But since I do have stuff left over, when I get ahold of a camera I will see if I can get some help putting stuff on here. I do not know how to upload photos, so I definitely wear my Techno-Challenged crown well. Thanks for asking to see them, also!! Hugs, Nance

I just KNEW Robin would beat me to posting! You gals oughta be jealous, she is one cool chick. When I pulled up to the hotel (we had briefly described ourselves) I just yelled out the window "Hey! You look like a farmgirl!" (Lucky for ME, she was, and not some random tourist about to dial 911 on me.) We did have a great afternoon together, scoring a couple of items at Michael's with the 40% off coupon, lunch at a neat restaurant right outside my neighborhood, and then yakking til it was time to bring her back to the hotel. We were going to knit, but not a needle was in sight...too much fun talking. Anybody who finds themselves up her way, defintely stop by. If her mom and sis are halfway as neat as she is, you're in for a treat. And of course, I would LOVE to hear the doorbell ring, too. You are all right on target; there is such a treasured sense of sisterhood here; women from all over, all walks of life, all circumstances, and all with big hearts.

I did pretty well at the open house. Not as well as I would have liked (since I had leftover items) but still, doing the fiscally afloat dance (ha). I will have to get an etsy up and running I reckon.

Thanks again, Robin, for wanting to "look up a farmgirl" when you had the opportunity. And thank you guys for your sweet comments; I love you all; you make my life richer than you imagine. Heartfelt hugs, Nance

I was very lucky! And I just remembered, I had my camera with me and got so caught up talking and ran out of time ( I had to get back for a get together with my husbands class) that I forgot all about pictures. Oh well, next time. We have to come back in 18 months for the second part.
