oh if there were truly a book that would help me.
i am one of those house "cleaners" that makes a big mess when i am cleaning and if i stop before i am finished it looks like a bomb went off.
anywho, a couple of months a go i found a book on speed cleaning. i think it has really helped. my house doesnt really look clean, but i do it a lot faster!
i have found that a home is easier to keep clean when it isnt so cluttered, but my oh my which treasure can i get rid of?
once again, frannie you have given us an interesting post. i am also enjoying the emails, thanks for adding me back to the list.

love
fran

time = organization That is what I've been working on. I am slightly ADD or prone to symptoms of it. I have to have order and I have a semi-anal personality. hehe. I can organize anyone and anything. When I was under 2 we moved to town (see I was a country girl for 1 year) and i unpacked stuff and put all the kitchen items together and all the bedroom items together etc. It's in me and the Virgo tendency :)

I love Flylady. I also like looking for free tips on the net. The everything has a home is the way to go. They taught us that in Montessori school.

reading this book .. i realize that for ME 'clutter' surely isn't my huge collections of 'things' that i love! some might see that as 'clutter' .. but oh my .. it all gives me such joy .. and 'clean lines' give me the jitters! My STUFF that i love makes me feel a connection to the people who came before me and enjoyed these things. it's the 'paper' and excess 'supplies' and sometimes 'duplicates' of what i have and the 'wonderfuls' that no longer fit in these little cabins that i want to 'organize' and 'sell/gift' that is MY 'clutter'. What's YOURS?

BE REALISTIC about what you can and can't do. You can't unclutter your home overnight. You can unclutter a countertop or drawer in as little as 15 minutes.

let us all know what YOU uncluttered today?

the particular book i'm referring to .. and oh yesss .. you can clutter your bookshelves with tons of ORGANIZATION BOOKS too i've found! ... but anyhoo .. it's called: ONE-minute organizer Plain and Simple .. 500 tiops for getting your life in order .. . by Donna Smallin. A few of her tips:

CONSISTENCY is the KEY!

You don't have to stop everything to get organized. You just have to START. Make organizing a part of your daily life.

DO IT FIRST. DO IT FAST.

My little organization tip - "put it back where you found it so we can find it next time we need it". Doesn't matter what "IT" is.
