Hey sista's!!! Coming to a TV set near you! Check out Old Navy's new fall commercial for women's jeans and cords. A group of wholesome 20 somethings in braids, cowboy hats and boots out in a pumpkin patch picking pumpkins. They change their dirty jeans into their clean cords behind a vintage farmall tractor, then jump into a flat bed pickup truck and head to town after a long day in the 'field picking pumpkins'. All this narrated by an old guy that looks like a farmer. Do I pick up a trend here?

I think it's the movie Dukes of Hazard with Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke that's the influence. I saw an ad with her line dancing in a cowboy hat and jean hot pants, too. Anything for the almighty dollar, I think. I choose not to participate, even tho I'm wayyyyy older than their target market!
