The flooding in Chehelis area has been devistating. Our family was there yesterday & today voluterring to help families clean out & prepare for repairs. Many are homeless & have lost everything. There was over 2500 volunteers this weekend, but they are in need of:
-Heavy help to cut out flooring, remove subflooring, sheetrock, insulation, etc. Please bring saw-zaw's & other equipment, your own food & water, etc.
-People are in need of food, blankets, & Christmas

It is amazing what power water has!!!

Blessings,

Oh, good idea about tp. I have a costco case and can certainly bring most of that. I'll check the freezer, too, I think I had several bags of bean soup...

I didn't know about the other thread. Thanks Heather for letting me know.
Be sure & dress warm, snowed today. Extra water & food for yourself and others to give away if you can, & TP.
Good Luck on your trip tomorrow!!!

Blessings,

Hey Kristine! There is more about this under the "hogs and quiches" thread. I talked to Lizzie (a farmgirl in centralia) yesterday and tonight as I am headed down tomorrow with a van load of donated household items, baby furniture, toiletries, clothes etc. Please let me know if there is anything in particular to take down with me since you've been on-site with the families.
