Posted - Dec 04 2007 : 08:05:56 AM Hi - anyone remember me? I've been in absentia for awhile and just thought I'd check in. I've been trying to make the best of things down here in our RV in Arizona but I'd much rather be home for the holiday season. Maybe soon - DH thought he might be sent home the first part of this week to a job in Seattle, but the big rains in WA shut down that job, so no luck yet. Maybe I'm better off not home right now, though. We heard all the roads to our town are closed due to flooding. My DIL called last night and said they were going through the woods in an attempt to get some supplies to a friend who's in a stranded town.
I started spinning classes last week, but if DH gets sent back, I'll have to drop out. I loved the first one though, and actually spun enough yarn to make a small scarf. I can't wait to get back to my own computer and catch up on all you farmgirls. I really miss you! |

Posted - Dec 04 2007 : 3:24:43 PM Hi, Sherri! Glad to have you back. I'm a little jealous about your spinning classes. I can't wait to start mine after the first of the year. My mom just gave me her old spinning wheel, so I'm hoping it will still work properly! Good luck with continuing the class. Let me know how it turns out!

Posted - Dec 04 2007 : 12:49:49 PM That's funny about the spinning class - my daughte thought the same thing - that it was the stationary bike spinning. She should know better than to think her mom signed up for an EXERCISE class for goodness sake!! Thanks for all the well wishes - hope I'm back soon! |

What a wonderful person your DIL is to endure this trecherous weather to bring supplies to a stranded friend. Hope you will be able to get home soon, and remember, we are always here for chatter & hugz.
