Posted - Nov 28 2007 : 05:45:05 AM Ok so it's the Abilene Reflector Chronicle which isn't anything huge (the town's aroudn 7000 people) but they called yesterday and wanted me to come down and show them some of the items I'm making for the craft fair on Saturday. So I'm to do that this afternoon - hopefully it will help my stuff sell this weekend as well! I guess she called me cause this is my first year exhibiting here. "Sew" (he he) I'm off here to finish up a couple things - prayerfully I will get everything done by Friday and all the stuff I want to set up the booth with together as well! Of course EVERYTHING selling would be a great help as well!I will post pictures on my blog later.
Blessings,
Holly

Posted - Dec 02 2007 : 11:35:09 AM Hey Holly, Ditto to what Kay said, don't get discouraged, look at it this way, you now have lot's of wonderful Christmas gifts to share with family/friends & even strangers who are down on their luck or out of work this Christmas season. So look at it as a blessing. I remember one year for a local craft fair, besides wood crafts, I cut/beaded/knotted a gazillion of those bandanas w/pony beads that were popular back in the late 1980's, my price was very reasonable, a dollar less then the 2 gals in the next both over,,,but they took Credit Cards" and people were more willing to buy from them because of the C.C. convienece & I barely sold a dozen of mine. Oh well, the bandanas came in handy for gifts. as they say, "It's all good". Hugz & <><

Posted - Dec 02 2007 : 09:30:22 AM well the show was a bust! Lots of people but not lots of sales -- except for the people selling jewelry and honey! I feel like I wasted a lot of time and money for nothing but I will be listing my stuff on ebay.
Thanks

Posted - Nov 28 2007 : 6:22:01 PM Hey Holly, If I were the Senior Editor of that Abilene Newspaper I'd feature you & your crafts on the front page....those goobers, don't they know talent when they see it??? guess I'll just have to cancel my subscription...LOL! My gosh I just realized I haven't been back to Ft. Riley since 1969... Is the little Woolworths still in downtown Manhattan or was it Ogden? How about Gibsons department store in Junction City???? I really need to take my DH back there on a "fieldtrip".

Posted - Nov 28 2007 : 11:02:18 AM I will try and post pictures before Saturday. As far as what I'm making it's some bags, bears, ornaments and stockings. I DO have my Army apron which I will probably wear for the show. I don't have a lot but enough that I could make some money if it sells - also hoping for some special orders!
Thanks ladies!
