Posted - Nov 20 2007 : 2:02:45 PM Since some of us may not be here to wish it on the proper day or eve, I wanted to start off by saying how thankful I was for all of you and that I wish you all the very best Thanksgiving.
We are likely going to invite a couple of strays from Drew's work over so they can all talk tech stuff and leave me in the dust :P and then maybe drive up North to see his parents, depending on the weather.
Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

Posted - Nov 21 2007 : 06:28:55 AM Hi all, Happy Thanksgiving! I am grateful for good health and warm, cozy home. I am thankful for family to share it with, my loving husband, 3 wonderful children, a sweet son in law and 2 healthy grandchildren. I know that those things are what most people are thankful for too but I think it's important for us to be specific since we don't all have the same families. The things I am most grateful for are God's mercy and Jesus Christ.

Posted - Nov 21 2007 : 06:18:24 AM Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and yours. We are off to post tomorrow - Thanksgiving service at 10:00 at Chapel and then to the Dining Facility for lunch with friends and my mil and sils. This is the biggest day of the year for Army cooks and it is always an impressive, beautiful meal with the guys in Dress uniforms! The commander's and 1sgt's also serve the meal/line and often the garrison commander is on hand to greet people and serve drinks. It's always a wonderful time but especially with the knowledge of those overseas away from family, and that those here now may not be next year there is much to be thankful for! Not least of all our freedom's so hard won by the Pilgrims who were willing to give up all they knew for a better life, the freedom to worship God.
Have a wonderful day!

Posted - Nov 20 2007 : 3:00:01 PM I am thankful to have the love of a good man, and the honor of being a mother. Being the mother of a blended family of 10 children is sometimes more than I think I can bear, but somehow, through the grace of God, I am able to find the greatest joys in simple living, a childs smile or success, an embrace... and somebody doing the dishes without being asked.
