A few months ago I sent along a frosty box of salmon to Libbie, not expecting any surprise in return. Farmgirls love to share their bounty with each other and I was excited to pass along from Alaska a little love with fins.

Well........ Libbie sent me some of her lamb last week. Last night we prepared a lamb feast after a beautiful snow sunset. I'll share it with you. For thanksgiving week I am thankful for the love and friendship of faces I may never meet, but the kindness that I know still lives in our crazy world. Scroll down to the bottom of the photos so that you can view dinner!

I know the lamb was wonderful because Libbie grew it, but it was especially wonderful because it was a sharing of love. A glorious thanksgiving to all of you....

I am leaving for Peru on Friday to help with interplast.org. I'll talk to you soon!! jo

Beautiful, Jo! The snow, the food and the table. How neat that you and Libbie shared your bounty with each other. Have a good trip to Peru.

What a beautiful table, Jo!

The best of sharing between friends, and how wonderful that you and Libbie could "feed" each other with friendship like this, no matter the distance between you. Thanks for sharing the bounty.

Oh, Jo - it looks like you cooked it up WONDERFULLY! I'm glad you liked it - it really looks delicious - just like the "love with fins" was! I am so happy to be able to reciprocate.

Farmgirls are true treasures, I agree, and I am thankful for you all, too!!!

XOXO, Libbie

Beautiful, Jo. I can feel the depth and the benediction of the snow. And the blessing of food shared with and by friends. Have a safe journey!
