I have been soooo busy these past 2 weeks that I have had very little time to come out & play w/my MJF sisters, bummer,,,
butttt, while up late the other nite, getting some projects done, I had the T.V. on and low -n- behold, there was MaryJane Butters in all her "beautifulness" talking about the importance of reading(I think, as I was really tired when she came on).
I am probably the last one to know about her public service commercial, silly me.
Also, while snopping around the newly opened Wally World(Wal-mart) I spotted a pair of cute kitchen curtains that had "yoyo's" attached to the hem....how simple is that & how cute!
Now for the best part, today my high school sweetheart & I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary! Wowzer! that makes me how old! eek! On that note, I had better take my geritol.

Hey There Gracie!
#849 lives in Marietta, GA, at a quick glance it looks close! Not sure about the McCall trip. I don't know of anyone from CA going yet. Way to far to travel alone. I talked to Anne about that. I'll do some homework on it. I was married at 18 to! DH and I should be wearing bottle cap glasses! heehee!

Yes, Grace, I believe the announcement will continue running for a while, so maybe you'll catch it again!

Oh thank goodness you came to my rescue Carol,,,,I knew I couldn't have been dreaming... lol!
I only wish that I had paid better attention to the segment.
How wonderful of Maryjane to take time from her busy schedule to do this.
Will KHQ-TV be airing her segment again?

Hi girls!
If you saw MaryJane recently on TV, you probably saw the "Success by 6" public service announcement about reading to your kids. She was very excited to be featured on one of these great spots sponsored by United Way, which run throughout the day. It was produced locally by KHQ TV in Spokane.

At first I thought I was "zoning" but yep, it was her... I don't normaly pay much mind to the T.V., but it was late and I had the T.V. on more for the noise/company while I was rolling yarn, some very bright pink yarn at that! That's when I heard this distinctive voice & then heard, "Hi I'm Maryjane Butters",,,she mentioned farmgirls and then she was sitting w/a child reading. Unfortunately I don't recall much of the diologue,,,I think it was a public service type ad, like when you see celebraties talk about spending quality time w/children or the importance of family meal time, etc.

Maryjanes segment was(I think) on a local Washington channel, possibly KREM ch2.

Help me out here Meg, Beth, Maryjane....tell me I wasn't dreaming...lol!
Make mental note, drink more coffee at nite to stay awake! lol!
