Karin - that was really sweet of you to share your magazines for door prizes!! Julia took her door prize home and shared the magazine with one of her friends, and we got two new members of our chapter from all that sharing! I love to see how things go when generosity is so freely given.

I have all the issues of the MJF magazine - been around long enough that when I signed up there were still copies to be had of the Premier issue. I look through them again and again, most recently revisiting any needlework articles that have been in them.

No cutting here! :) Couldn't do it! I can't even cut sheets for rag rugs......:)

Jonni- That just cracks me up!! I still haven't been able to take anything out of mine. They all sit in my bookshelf like little soldiers, along with the Idea book and the Stitching Room book. I did have two extra copies (No Place Like Home and the recipe issue) but I thought it would be best to share, so they became door prizes at the GA Farmgirl Gathering. :)
Maybe next time, Sweet Pea, you can use your scanner!!

Ok, y'all, I did cut ONE (just one) back cover off of Maryjane's magazine, but I DID frame it and it hangs in my laundry room--I think it's from 2 back, with a beautiful cow (maybe jersey?)...

Anyway, that was all the desecration I could muster, and I am seeking help...truly.

i copied lots of the 'quotes' in her book .. when maryjane visited, i was going to do a fun 'reading' (everyone would take one from a basket or from a tree limb and read it to us as part of their introduction .. but oh my! the carloads of women kept coming and coming .. and i had to shift gears! i still have them all printed out .. and will use them in a 'future' gathering that i have here!

The only magazine I have duplicates of is the "No Place Like Home". It is still one of my favorites. I love the simple picture on the cover and the beautiful Purple background and green lettering. The "in" colors for interior decorating right now are purple and green, or so I am told. So that means out MaryJane was a couple of years a head of the trend! Go MaryJane!

You aren't kidding, Frannie! I love how MaryJane shares so much in the magazines. There is a lot of really practical wisdom in each, not to mention the wonderful stories, recipes, and beautiful pictures!

I would LOVE to do some art with the magazines like decoupaging them onto a wall like wallpaper or even framing some of the pictures, but I can't bring myself to do that to the magazines! LOL Maybe I will buy a second set of the magazines so I can do some crafting with them.
