I am looking for books on a certain type of lace know as Oya or Oyalari from those regenios of the world I am wanting a book of instructions and it doesn't have to be in english as long as it has good images/ and diagrams
links on my blog post today if any one wants to see what this type of lace looks like
i also think this lace comes from Yemeni too

Hey Sunshine, I took a quick look typed in Oyalari lace, and came up with one site that links to several YouTube videos on it, they are in Turkish(thats the word..right?), but maybe they'll have some how-to video included I havent gotten a chance to watch them all...

sunshine .. i'm in toledo .. got here at about midnight! up bright and early .. waiting for those 'grandes' to open those sleepy eyes so i can get some 'hugs and snuggles'!!!
i'm hoping to hit my fav shoppe today. will let you know what i find. (dang ... didn't bring photos .. i'll try and google again! have you found ANY yet?

Sunshine, I was in Cyprus last week and had a look through the internet before I went. They make beautifull lace or tatting in Cyprus but not the sort you are looking at. We will do some more visiting countries around Kuwait in the year to come, so will be on the lookout for you.

i have baskets and baskets of vintage laces and linens .. and i doooooooo believe i have (or have had) some .. somewhat like i saw on one of the websites. i will be taking a closer look at types of linens on future 'antiquing forays' .. (toledo has a shoppe with FABULOUS linens .. sooo .. i will surely look at their collection when i go there towards the end of october! i'll be watching for 'books' on it too! will let you know what i find.
