Frannie, I love that filet work too...both crochet and knotted..mom has a couple beautiful pieces that are soo delicate and pretty...I'm hoping to find some for myself soon...I can just see it framed against a background of black velvet...luuuvly....

pretty collars sunshine! i've been on a quest for TATTED doilies (ANYTHING) since meeting sweet Katie .. AND .. i am also on the look-out for TIED .. KNOTTED .. filet .. NOT the crochet kind. i did find one piece after seeing a demonstration of it done at our local Janice Holt Giles celebration a coupla' weeks ago!

ohhhhhhhhh ... i think i'll put a 'call' out for it in the 'barter' section!

I left a note on your lace finds the lace you didn't know what it is is turtle braid you can usually find at antique stores for 5.00 a package looks like you have two 1/2 packages maybe a little more like two as it looks like some has been used from the cream bottom one and the middle one lots has been used from it. If you want to trade let me know. I use that in my fine crochet/tatting of vintage patterns from 1880-1920.
