I swear I just wanna take a couple of heads and smack them together! I've been a member of another forum for about a year. There was only one moderator but she was never there. NEVER. Since there was a thread from the admin asking for mods, and since others thought someone ought to do it (and since I was there every day), I said I would.

Fine and dandy. No problems. Then along comes this young whipper snapper and starts complaining. First he complained that no one else there was a real cowboy. People who ride bulls in rodeos aren't real cowboys. People who farm aren't cowboys. Just because you got the boots, don't make you a cowboy...

Then he started on some kids when they posted they had Arab horses, or that they rode hunt seat or dressage...that wasn't the way a cowboy would do it, they didn't know a good horse, the only horse to have was XYZ breeding...

Today he went on another tangent telling someone they didn't know what they were talking about, said they'd never cowboy'd a day in their life, told them to go back to writing bar stool stories. Said the type of saddle you showed up in, the clothes that you wear and even the hat on your head could tell him if you were a real cowboy or not. Started using some foul language.

I've stepped in before on this kid, smacked him upside the head a time or two and told him to play nice. Today, same thing. No more cussing, please, because there were kids on the forum. Please play nice. Good thing you're not a ranch owner or we'd all be scared of which hat we'd chosen to wear when we went for our interview

So tonight he sends me a PM saying to delete his account. Says he wants nothing to do with us anymore. I told him if he was going to dish it out, then he'd better be prepared to take it. Also let him know that I haven't got the authority to delete his account, and good luck reaching the admin because he never bothers to answer my emails... (and that's who's head I'd be smacking the whipper snapper's into! )

See, I knew y'all would understand! This was one place I knew I could come and vent

And you're right, a real cowboy wouldn't have acted that way, and I told him as much right there after he belittled his elder by calling him a liar. That's when he packed his saddle bag and wanted to run away. And I honestly can't say I'll miss him too much, which is horrible of me, but really, the boy needs to grow up. His mamma needed to whup his sorry hiney a little more often, if you ask me (of course, he didn't, lol!)

Good Riddance! My dh is a musician, and there was this music forum locally, and I swear, it's the same guy, only now he's portraying himself as a "real cowboy"...I'm sure not, but I guess what I'm saying is, there is always someone who's a pest!

Stick to your guns on this one, cowgirl!

Stay strong and stick to your guns! It's just a shame you personally can't delete his account.

Hey Tracey, haven't seen you around in ages it seems! I used to be a few Yahoo groups but they would always end up in fights like you mentioned and just didnt' play fair, so no more for me. I'll stick with this forum where you are treated like a lady! As for your cowboy, doen't sound like much a cowBOY to me either! Good luck girl!

It dosn't sound very cowboy for him to put others down like that. After all being a cowboy is like being a farmgirl it is a condition of the heart. I enjoyed reading your post and keep up the humor, it always helps in situations like this.
