oh gurlfrenz .. i'm pooped again this evening .. JUS' returned from a fabulously fun day in bardstown, ky with two of the farmgirls who stayed the night (janet from ky) and (ivy from tennessee). took some pics .. but not as many as i wanted to because i was too busy havin' FUN! i'll tell more of it soon .. but wednesday evening we had the most wonderfully, fun, fantastic time! (our VERY handsome MAYOR even drove THREE HOURS from Covinginton, KY .. right across the river from OHIO! where he is in a three-day conference and receiving awards for our town .. JUST to have dinner with maryjane and family .. THEN .. he turned around and drove three hours BACK to Covington for his early morning meetings on thursday! now THAT is why i adore this town so much! EVERYONE is equally as wonderful! we had SUCH a wonderful 'welcoming celebration' for our Idaho friends at our olde courthouse. music .. sharing all about our town/county .. and a 'play' about the incredible Jane Todd Crawford (google her!) who was from Green County! a Lamplight Tour of our historic district by our local "bridges" teenagers! visiting our shoppes and sweeeeet Cobblestone Farm! .. and our library .. and so much more fun!!!

Thursday .. over thirty farmgirls showed up to welcome mary jane .. sit and sew and socialize. much laughter and giggling and sharing of stories and talents!

will write more and post pics soon in m;y "GATHERING ROOM" (blog). now .. i am going to go snuggle beside honey hunk and jus' listen to the 'quiet' and nature sounds. hugs from a very happy, peaceful FRANNIE xo

p.s. michelle .. sooooo sorry that you two girls got lost along the way and made it here so late .. and missed so much of the festivities .. but am glad you had a little time with maryjane! it was great visiting with you all! AND .. you missed the 'big adventure' of Patsy's car getting stuck in the ditch .. of hank and lucas hauling it out and 'taking out' a SIGN .. (which i assured lucas i had been wanting to pull up ever since moving here .. GO LUCAS!)

Can't wait to hear all the juicy details!!! (and you look totally adorable, Miss Frannie! I adore that rug on your porch)

"Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes, and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand; instead of a million count half a dozen, and keep your accounts on your thumb nail."
