Thank you, ladies, for coming and making Monday one of the best days ever! You just don't know how much I enjoyed being with the farmgirls. I am still floating about 4 feet in the air.
Jess- You are a sweetheart. And a slightly crazy woman for driving the better part of two days. Your children are beautiful and reflect the love of their mother in their eyes. You easily could have left them here with me. ha ha I so need some grandchildren! I hope that your children finally let you sleep! (I talked to Kathie!)Oh, and I have been using your Amber lotion on my hands all day. YUM!
Jeannie and Julia- It was a pleasure to have you in my home. You are both so sweet. Thank you for the lemon-dill dip. I cannot wait for an occasion to use it!
Debi and Rebekah- Oh how we missed you! But you were with us in spirit! Next time, neither illness or stubborn husbands will keep you from your appointed joy ride to meet MaryJane!
Kathie- The insane woman who brought her sewing machine all the way from Florida to complete tote bags for each woman who attended- you are my hero. My mother is in love with hers. And that kind of compliment does not come easily!
Amy and Ayako- Sweet spirited girls, you filled my home with light. I am so glad that you live so close by. I see a lot of farmgirl gatherings in our future!
Teddie- Sweet friend, it was so good to see you again. Let us not let so much time pass between visits. Farmgirl gatherings are a must!

Thank you, MaryJane,Meg, Lucas and Katy, for taking the time to sit and allow us to get to know you better. It was pure joy.
If you really want to get the full "picture" of our fun-filled day, visit my blog! I had to enter four posts to get all the pictures in! And Dawn posted some on hers as well. I have included a link to her blog on mine.

I am off to take a hot bath and get into my pj's. For some reason, I'm feeling a bit tired today.

karin- i cannot thank you enough for monday. it was one of the best days i have ever had! i am still beaming from it! monday was the kind of day i always dream of having-sitting around chatting, eating, and crafting with good friends. your home is AMAZING (i have to have a dollhouse in my wall now!) and i was so comfortable all day. i am usually quite nervous and shy around new people. but as soon as you opened your front door, i knew that i would be fine. i am so glad to have finally met you, and i hope we will be getting together again!

to all the forum girls-it was so great to put faces with names. meeting each of you makes coming to the board mean so much more. you were all wonderful!

to mary jane, meg, and katy-thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful day with us. you are all some of the most genuine people i have ever met. i am thrilled to know how to make a rag rug and to tat. and i now have to get another sheet because i have used my first one- i just couldn't stop with the rug-making. i am also excited that i now know how to crochet-thanks to mary jane. mary jane, i must admit i was a little nervous meeting you ( i have admired you since i found the Art of the Egg issue of your magazine several years ago). however, as soon as i said hi to you, you totally put me at ease. thank you for being so real and kind.

i don't feel that these words do justice to what a great experience i had, but just know that this day will be in my heart forever.

Frannie- You are in for a treat!! I hope that all of the gals going to KY have as much fun as we had here in GA! (And yes, I so need to come up there and I will bring Jill and whoever else I can convince to tag along. We'll fill up those sweet little cabins they rent near you!)
Carol Sue, Tracey, Shirley and Jenny- Can you imagine what it would be like if we all got together? Start saving your pennies girls, we need to go to the farm!!

Karin

Oh, I almost forgot! The bathroom was done with 3 packs of K& Company "Bailey" scrapbook paper (36 sheets per pack, with double-sided sheets, so 18 patterns!) and a gallon of pre-mixed wallpaper paste. Easy-peasy. Over the top? A coat or two of matte finish poly-acrylic. Just so when water is splashed, the paper doesn't fall off the wall. ha ha

I hope you are taking that long, sweet, well deserved bath in your newly decorated bathroom which I loved!!!

Karin - you are an authentically kind person, and it was a joy to be in your home. It was so good to meet you. I loved your mom too. Not too much gets past her!

Now go take your bath, and include a glass of wine.
