KYgurlsrbest	Posted - Oct 03 2007 : 07:51:29 AM I went to Interlochen Arts Academy as a dance major (classical ballet). I was there for 4 years, and graduated in 1991. I came back for a reunion 7 years ago, and WOW has that area changed--not so much around Interlochen, but the road to Traverse City, and downtown Traverse is so much more developed! They even have a mall! We never had a mall to go to! I used to spend my Thanksgiving holiday in Grand Haven, and we would go "into the City" of Grand Rapids for shopping excursions, or to Chicago. My roommate lived in Grandhaven, and it was so expensive to fly home when I'd be flying home again at Christmas, that I'd spend everything Thanksgiving there. I really love Grand Rapids. If was younger, right now, I'd be back into school at Interlochen, and we'd be preparing for our first big snow in a few weeks.
