Laura, my neighbor who I am coordinating this event with, just called to say that she lined up a horse and carriage to be available for rides and photos! I'm so excited!

I'll post photos when I can. Ann

You're on! Interlochen and the area around haunts me this time of year, in a really good way!!!

Jonni,

TC and Interlochen probably has changed so much since you were there. If you are ever in the area, feel free to call. I'll give you a "farm" tour! Ann

I went to Interlochen Arts Academy as a dance major (classical ballet). I was there for 4 years, and graduated in 1991. I came back for a reunion 7 years ago, and WOW has that area changed--not so much around Interlochen, but the road to Traverse City, and downtown Traverse is so much more developed! They even have a mall! We never had a mall to go to!

I used to spend my Thanksgiving holiday in Grand Haven, and we would go "into the City" of Grand Rapids for shopping excursions, or to Chicago. My roommate lived in Grandhaven, and it was so expensive to fly home when I'd be flying home again at Christmas, that I'd spend everything Thanksgiving there. I really love Grand Rapids. Cool city, and lots of great mission furniture there!!!!!

Jonni - What school did you attend in Interlochen? It is such an artist hub there!!!
Belmont is just outside of Grand Rapids. The leaves are just starting to turn!

That sure sounds great, Ann! Oh to be in Michigan this time of year, too. If was younger, right now, I'd be back into school at Interlochen, and we'd be preparing for our first big snow in a few weeks. All the leaves would be at their full color, and usually a cloudy sky to show them off!

Where is Belmont? Interlochen is near Traverse City.
