Sounds like a wonderful weekend, Frannie! Don't you just love spending time with little ones??!!

Well, on Friday our car broke down, so it was in the shop the whole weekend, but my FIL was kind enough to loan us one of their 3 cars, so we could get around....

On Saturday, my husband's baby brother, Mick, turned 18, so we went to his birthday party, where niece (Ava) and nephew/godson (Max) were also, so I spent the whole day being Annnnt JOOONNNI!!! which I love tremendously ...conversations like this occurred: Ava: can I take the blue bajoon (balloon) outside?; Jonni: Well, if you take it outside, it might get away from you and float high in the sky because it's filled with helium. Ava: I could catch it if I was a hang glider. Jonni: stunned into silence because she's only two.

Saturday evening, we had dinner and sat around the campfire with dear friends that live on 5 acres on the Boone/Gallatin County border, and it was the first taste of fall weather we've had around here!!!!

Sunday, I CLEANED like crazy and made a really good Irish beef stew and that always makes me feel good to have things in order.

I went to an auction on Saturday(posted a photo of the doll I bought). Stayed there all day and bought stuff - 3 cases of canning jars, an antique doll, an art deco set of Samsonite luggage, an old round oak table - loved the whole experience! That helped me work hard on Sunday getting the daylily beds ready for winter.

Hi, Frannie! I worked on warping my loom so I can work on some Christmas gifts. I also tried out a new cookie recipe, called Buffalo Chips. I wasn't real impressed with them, but I have a couple of ideas on how to maybe make them better. Other than that, I had a nice, peaceful, quiet weekend. Nothing blew up on the farm, so I consider that a very good weekend!

Hey Frannie! My weekend was sooo busy. We finally got my clothesline up! YAY!!! Went shopping, winterized the pool, cleaned the back porch, did laundry, and my hubby and his friend re-plumbed the basement and brought my washer upstairs for me! Now I can do my laundry and not lug it upstairs and outside! Funny how little things like that make me soooo happy!!

For the first weekend in many, we didn't do much at all. Visited with friends on Sunday afternoon and then had a picnic at a local park while my oldest played flag football with the church youth group (at the same park).

Sounds like you had a loverly weekend! One to treasure!
