Tina,
I just have to tell you this is the best issue yet. I have read it at least three times. The pictures are marvelous and the writing is clear and enjoyable.

Loved, loved, loved the article about our Aunt Jenny and when the pic on the bats article came up I jumped back a little. Lol.

Really liked the article and pics of the painted barns. I am old enough to remember painted barns from my childhood.

I can't wait until I can get a hard copy in my hands.

May God bless those who love the soil,

Patsy

Hi Tina,
I saw on the Mitford website that your new issue is out. I cannot wait until you are publishing this magazine. Be sure to sign me up for a subscription. I think it is going to be very successful. Besides the Mitford website, I have told my friends and they are downloading right now but also want it when it is published. Our town only has 3900 people so we are indeed a small town. Keep up the good work.

May God bless those who love the soil,

Patsy

Ok, here's what I've done so far to help get the word out.

I've posted at several forums, and also created a post at Blog Catalog.

I wrote a press release and have directed all traffic directly to Small Town Living. Here's the link for that press release. Press Release: Small Town Living online magazine publishes "Oh give me a home..." by Shari Thomas.

I've written about it at Shari's Gone Country, and have created a sidebar link to the press release.

I'll be adding a page for "articles" to the "Four Country Gals" story.

Thank you all so very much!

Julie- thanks for helping to spread the word. We so very much appreciate that.I can't wait to share with Paul all of your wonderful comments.

Shari- I am so glad to hear that everyone at the farm can use something from the magazine.
I'm so glad to hear that Dusty has started to calm down.
I love all of the articles about our farmgirl friends.
Thanks again so very, very much for contributing.

Thanks to Aunt Jenny, Sue, and everyone else(I can't remember everyone's names at the moment, but you are all so very much appreciated) that has contributed to making Small Town Living what it is.

Oh....and Shari- any ideas on uppping the traffic to the site..would be very welcomed.

Thank you...from my heart to all of you.

I am so excited everytime we bring forth an issue for folks to enjoy. I am starting to feel more confident that one day we will realize the dream of having this publication on news stands...it's just a matter of time.

Tina, this issue of Small Town Living is totally awesome!

I'm forced to print the whole thing for Mom. We just got a bunch of Acorn Squash, and you have a recipe. Cindy has some pumpkins, so gotta get her the article on pumpkin carving. Mom's always into crafts, so the natural dyes article will be good for her, too.

I want to really spend some time with the Appalachian Trail feature. I lived in NC for several years and actually worked a summer outside of Tuxedo Junction.

Thanks also for printing the article about how we're suddenly in the "horse business". As a quick update, Cindy was able to mount Dusty yesterday totally unassisted. She didn't try to move him, but it was awesome to watch her very carefully ease herself onto his back. She's got pictures up on her blog, "Country Musings". You can get to it from either of my blogs.

Jenny, good to get to know you better, too. After all you're only a couple hours away from us.

I've got some traffic generating ideas I'll get started on... would love to see y'all in real print!

thanks so much!!! keep spreading the news about us...pretty please(grins) it drives up the readership and moves us closer to an actual "in hand" publication. So any and all help with "spreading the news" is absolutely appreciated and encouraged.
