The anticipation is building, the house is in a tip,
But that's okay, it'll still be worth the trip!!
To see MaryJane, Meg, Lucas and Stella.
(Isn't he the lucky one? He'll be the only fella!)
Don't forget Katy King, the queen of those who tat.
(She's in MaryJane's Stictching Room, in her beautiful hat!)
The table will be set, the food well-prepared,
We'll be learning new crafts- no need to be scared!
So come one, come all, who are fun, sweet and hip!
I'll greet you with an apron, and my hair in a flip.

Karin

Things are looking brighter here and I'm ready to greet the farmgirls at my door. As soon as I finish papering the bathroom that is. I can barely contain the excitement I am feeling!!

This rhyming game is pretty fun.
Except that I've got nothing done-
For sitting here and typing in,
the words that rhyme like tin and pin.
So off I go to make a run
To WalMart and Michael's before the sun
sinks below the far horizon.
(For craft supplies and this and that
so all of us can learn to tat
and other things in no time flat!)
A patchwork bath is in the works,
And so no more must I shirk,
the jobs that I have left undone-
For playing at this rhyming fun.

See you all in SIX days!!

Karin

alright enough is enough
i cannot rhyme
it is just too tough
you're making me look bad
it just isn't fair
but look out girls
'cause my tatting will be rad

(i don't think i have ever used the word rad...even in the 80s when it was acceptable!)

To Karin

It was so good to hear
your voice on the phone.
Can't wait to see Georgia,
and the bathroom alone
should bring such a delight
after all your hard work.
We'll tat and do rag rugs -
our craft's we won't shirk.
But we'll talk aplenty
and eat well too!
I can hardly wait
to meet MJ and you!

all you farmgirls ..
have a wunnerful time ..
stitchin' and sewin' ..
and talkin' in rhyme!

feed 'em good ..
and fill their belly ..
cuz' here they'll git ..
peanut butter and jelly.

i burn everything ..
i try to cook ..
i forget and go play ..
or sit down with a good book!

i'm always off somewhere
havin' some fun ..
then smell the smoke ..
and run dial nine one one!

But I know we'll have fun
Despite all that
Sittin' an' sewin'
an' learnin' to tat!

Kentucky will win
their hearts right away
cuz' the people are friendly
... so happy and gay.

and i promise new friends
and roads to run
stitchin' and sewin'
good gossip and fun!

OH KARIN .. YOU ARE A HOOT! I LOVED YOUR 'POME' .. AND IT SET ME TO RHYMIN' TOO!
I SURE WISH I COULD BE TWO PLACES AT ONCE .. CUZ' I'D SURELY JOIN YA'LL IN GEORGIA ALSO!
HAVE FUN .. MAKE WONDERFUL MEMORIES!
