i didn't hit the bed until after 3 a.m. .. got up at 8 a.m. .. but am 'fit as a fiddle' .. excited to do some fun 'projects' today! (made some CUTE little 'stacked pin cushion kits' last night for the sit and sew MJ girls. will post a pic on my 'blog' when i've finished with a 'sample'. i'm using all 'prissy colors' this time! i usually do these in more 'primitive' fabrics'.

heading for town to get some prissy ribbons and rosettes to make a sample or two of the 'apron pockets' too! gonna' meet a gurlfren and have lunch. she's making a 'door' for our screened porch .. with a 'doggie door' built into it! will get some more 'marigolds' to plant for autumn too! what you kids up to today?

I had a fun time reading about your MOndays. Frannie, you have just so much fun! I need to find a way to do that. By the time I get things done around here, I am too tired to do much else. One day I will get it all figured out and have more fun/craft time. Maybe~~~~

Toni-

Yes I got two more quarts of tomato sauce done. So all totaled this year I have canned 5 quarts of spaghetti sauce, and 5 quarts of tomato sauce. Not as much as I was hoping to get out of my garden this year- hopefully next year will be better!

Frannie - I do treasure every minute with my little one! They grow up too fast! I love all the little artwork that comes home and how much they love going to school and riding the bus! I want my youngest 2 to stay small forever, but I know that they will grow up and leave soon too. :(
Have a great night.

Frannie-

I had no idea that Grab was such a dangerous place!Thankful I made it out alive!! My boy's name was (is) Brent Mays. He had a Grandma named Nanny Peppers that made the BEST banana pudding. My parents live in Bardstown now, so maybe I'll swing down one day!

Alee-

I know what you mean about the laundry...I feel like I have a basket of it permanently attached to my arms!! Did you get your canning done? I have found it takes me three times as long to get stuff done since having my son. Last week it took me 2 days to can my applesauce and I only got 6 measly quarts!

It sounds like you have been busy!

I on the other hand have just been folding a mountain and a half of laundry. Who knew a child could use so many outfits?!

toni .. grab isn't too far from me .. do you know of the 'infamous' MURDER in GRAB waaaay back in the early 1800's? Our town 'playright' wrote a play of it .. and townspeople performed it .. it was great! We live just off route 61 .. three miles before the Green County line .. (headed toward Hodgenville) .. jus' TEN miles from Abraham Lincoln's birthplace! dooo come visit someday .. maybe that olde boyfriend is still around? HA! what is his name? xo

Toni- You are such a farmgirl! WooHoo! That is awesome to put a carseat in the tractor! I but the vibrations from it are fun for him!

I have got more tomato sauce simmering on th stove and I will can it this after noon. I am also cooking some black beans in the pressure cooker for a salad this afternoon. I have been folding laundry and doing more as I type this message.

Already my living room is looking better! It should be ship-shape by this evening!

My you ladies are busy bees.

Somehow I got suckered into having one of those jewelry parties Wed. evening so I had to go grocery shopping and start cleaning up the house for that. Get it ready for my MIL and some friends to see it, although they just play with the baby, so hopefully they will miss the dust!!

We started harvesting this weekend, so I had to get a carseat to put in the tractor with me since I have a little buddy this year. Hopefully he likes being a farmboy. Good luck to all in getting in a productive day!!

Frannie-- what part of Green Co. do you live in? In college I dated a boy from Grab...ever heard of it? I do agree that Green Co. is a wonderful place!

Alee--Good luck on your new diet!

Today is my day to get the laundry DONE and the living room clean! I have a wonderfully clean kitchen now and it is mocking the living room... I can't have that...must have harmony between rooms! HEHE

Most of the clutter in the living room right now is clothes anyway from doing laundry so I think it will go faster than I think it will. It will be nice to have the front of the house done!

And if it does go as fast as I think it will, I might shampoo the carpet in our bedroom and cleant the bathroom. If not that will be for tomorrow. I am determined to get this house clean this week! No excuses!

Oh and I am starting my new diet plan today since I went and bought all the food for it yesterday! Yay! I am so excited! They say I can lose 10lbs by Oct 22. WooHoo! I could wear a somewhat sexy Halloween costume then! :D

Already up and cleaned the bathrooms, washed 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen up, and caught up on all the farmgirl happenings. Off to strip the beds, hang out the sheets, sweep up the dog hair, mop the floors and dust. Bleah. I hate dusting.
Then I will be able to spend a bit of time in the craft room doing what I like best. :)

Off to the dentist yet again, which means I treat myself to a visit to the Salvation Army thrift on the way home.

Ordering snowball viburnums, hydrangeas, azaleas, hostas, ferns for another garden.

Arranging for sprinkler guy and fence guy to quote on another job.

Sending out ebay stuff.

HOPEFULLY sewing sometime? Or maybe getting a sewing table set up in my kitchen.

Here's to a great day for us all!

tammy ..it's EASY to run the roads .. when the little ones are grown! but treasure absolutey every second of NOW!!!

i'll have to post a picture of a 'family tree' that daughter, Wednesday did when she was in the 7th grade. My ex-husband and 'wife-in-law' (his wife) had it framed for me. she had LOTS of mama's and papa's dangling from the branches. xo
