well .. my SATURDAY sure turned out 'exciting'! i attended an 'open garden' at a friend's adorable flower farm (Cobblestone Farms). she has a most precious GIFT shoppe too! yesterday .. i got a ba-zillion pumpkins .. then went to Cobblestone and got lotsa' MUMS, cabbage plants and a few 'asters'. went back today .. cuz' she was having 'music, soups and cornbread! i loaded up the van with cornstalks and hay bales! .. then .. went back to Greensburg (my home town) .. for JAMMIN' ON THE SQUARE! people come and set up their 'chairs' outside and musicians play. WOWZER .. there were three young teenagers .. one played the guitar, one the fiddle and one the mandolin! i was BLOWN AWAY. i RAN up to them after the show and asked if they would play for MaryJane and family when they visit our town ..and they said yes! sooooo excited! then .. i headed down the windy, hilly backroads to another town to attend a play "TUNA, TEXAS" .. we saw it at another theatre last year .. and it is one of the funnist shows i've EVER seen! ... well, dang! if i didn't get lost .. and my 'empty gas tank' light came on .. and i was in the middle of NOWHERE .. no gas stations for miles .. AND .. i was on the WRONG ROAD .. NO GAS .. getting dark ..and the play was starting in 20 minutes .. and i had NO IDEA how to get to the town! soooooooo ... i travelled the last 12 miles on a prayer and gas fumes .. found myself near Horse Cave (where our favorite play theatre is located). i called them and transferred my next week's reservation to tonight .. got on the interstate and WENT THE WRONG WAY .. (oh .. i did finally find gas before i had to get out and PUSH those cornstalks and haybales!) ... another 15 miles (each way!) out of my way .. did a U-turn .. and FINALLY found the town .. with about 2 minutes before 'curtain time'. Saw PYGMALION .. based on "MY FAIR LADY" .. but it was NOT a musical .. they don't do musicals at this theatre! sat in the FRONT ROW .. and LORDY! got so tired (i was up VERY early this morning!) caught my head nodding like one of those 'bobber' things in the back windows of cars! during intermission .. i got me an ice cold bottle of water .. went to the BACK of the theatre .. put the water bottle behind my neck and YEP! fell asleep! i told the ladies who usher i was going to change seats for fear that i would nod off and tumble onto the stage! after the show ... another hour's ride on very DARK country roads (filled with deer leaping across here and there!) i actually stopped at a CHURCH in the middle of NOWHERE and FELL ASLEEP for about an hour! FINALLY made it home .. it is now 2:30 a.m. .. soooo .. i'm hittin' the bed!

Well I got my kitchen cleaned and about 95% of the dishes done. You ladies have not idea what a feat that was! Hubby likes to cook without a splatter guard so there was some nasty stuff going on, on my stove top and even under the burners. I cleaned out the oven, wiped down all the counters, my appliaces and scrubbed the floor.

Nora and I took a walk with Sky dog and did a couple of loads of laundry. I guess I will just have to fold it tomorrow! :D

Checking out campgrounds for a camping weekend next month, having lunch with my hubby and kids, doing some laundry, checking out the MJF boards (of course lol),cooking dinner, bathing the little ones and myself, and then sitting down to read over my machine quilting pages that Cheryl sent me in the mail!

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

Nothing quite so exciting for me. . .I have some studio art time with a friend's daughter who has cerebal palsey; was going to go grocery shopping, but the car wouldn't start. I have some painting projects to do, so I will try to get those moving forward this evening.

Housecleaning, two quilting classes!! (leaving in a minute for the second one), sitting outside, playing with you guys on the computer and maybe some sewing later. We might go see 3:10 to Yuma tonight if we are not running too late with dinner.

Enjoy the weekend!

So far today I got up and did a couple loads of dishes, though there are more to be done. Then Nora needed a bit of a snack and a nap. Now I am relaxing for a few minutes and watching "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" because Doug was so kind to set it to record on our DVR for me :D I LOVE this movie and the book series.

I'm working today so there will be homework with the youngest nanny child as he's got a project that's due on Monday. Also, my parents drove down last night and are staying with my sister and niece so we're going to be doing something with them today. I think we're going to go to a cider mill that's got a corn maze, something the kids should enjoy. Another day with warm, sunshiny weather today :)

Well Saturday is my cleaning day. My goal is to just really work hard and get the house in shape. I also want to write the thank you letters for all the wonderful gifts from the wedding.

What about you Frannie?
