I truly think that 9-11 should be declared a National Day of Rememberance. It has affected the entire country and I don't think that it should ever be an after thought for later generations. Both my kids were in the military on that day and I can't tell you how scary that was! Flags fly at our home 24/7 and always will.

I think about this so often, probably because I have such a strong connection to the City.

I remember exactly where I was standing in this office when I heard--and watching the second plane hit. I'll never forget frantically trying to reach each of my friends who still live and work in Manhattan.

I had just taken my house off the market here in Kentucky, because I met my husband and my plan to move to Brooklyn and work at Hartford Life, near Wall Street was given up for a wedding.

Things sure do happen for a reason.

My youngest son was just a baby when this happened. I can remember hearing about it on the radio, then seeing it on tv and sitting there with him crying and worrying about my other children in school. The schools sent them home, of course, but the wait seemed like forever. i keep my flag waving proudly outside....God Bless America! Please pray for our troops!

I remeber holding my little baby girl in my arms with tears streaming down my face when this tragedy happened. Sympathies to your country ( and the world for that matter ) for losing so many good people on that day.

Friends are the best collectables.

I put my little flag on my car today and hanging our flag out in the front yard in the early morning. Our lives changed 6 years ago forever. God Bless America!

Hugs, Maryjane Lee
