It's official!! MaryJane is coming to my house on October 8th!! Would it not be the most wonderful day if we could all get together with the Queen Bee and Meg, Lucas and Stella?!
A time has not been chosen yet, but that's okay. We'll just have fun together until they arrive!!
If you would like to join us for this once in a lifetime event, e-mail me through the forum with your home address and I will mail you an "official" invitation (along with directions to my house.)
A house full of farmgirls. How cool will that be?

Already have, Frannie!! Just waiting to hear from her. Have you ever been to her house? Oh my gosh! The woman is the rug hooking Queen. beautiful, beautiful work. And her studio is flat to die for. :) I do hope she can come. She does not get off work until 3:30 or so, but I told her that we will still be going strong!! Or to take the day off. hee hee

well karin dear .. if for some reason .. maryjane and family can't make it to kentucky .. i could head for atlanta by plane and rent a car! i take hank to the airport on october 4 .. he's headed to california to get together with some olde rugby playin' buddies of his .. he returns on the 8th .. we could leave the car at the airport .. for him to drive home in ...
how far are you from atlanta?) i could spend a couple days visiting my momma's family in 'oakman and elijay' area .. i also have a sweet friend in atlanta i could drop in on! i could gather with you gurls on the 8th .. or is it the 9th? .. then head back home and honey hunk could pick me up at the airport.
soon's i hear from maryjane as to whether or not they can head for kentucky after atlanta .. i'll know more what my plans are. i'm hoping she can indeed come here .. and i'll try and conjure up some farmgirls for her to gather with .. and i would dearly love to show her our sweet county of GREEN and our little town of Greensburg. will let you know when i know more ..

Frannie- Drive to Georgia and meet with us, girlfriend! Wow, would we have a hootin' good time or what?
Meg- Absolutely bring your pink cowgirl boots and hat. I am going to ask everyone to wear an apron. (And iffin' ya don't have one, I have some here you can borrow!!)
My sister and I have already planned lunch and dessert (gateau au chocolat). And, of course, farmgirlish decorations for our lunch table. :)
*-if any of you need hotel info,I will post some of the better ones in our area. Don't want anything to spoil our fun!

Karin~ We can't WAIT for our visit!  I've never been to Georgia and it is just going to be such fun to see you and all you other farmgirls making the trip! I can't wait to meet you all! I am thinking I may just have to bring a big enough bag for my pink cowboy boots and my hat. I am SO excited!

oh karin .. how fun and exciting! i've been wantin' FOREVER for maryjane to amble to this part of the country .. and since she's gonna' be 'in the area' .. during the time-frame of my planned 'autumn farmgirl gathering' (i try to do one of these each season!) ... i'm trying to conjure up a get-together with her in KENTUCKY too so that the kentucky farmgirls will also have a chance to spend a little time with her.
i had a mos' wunnerful dolly club for ten years in Maryland .. and whenever a doll teacher was teaching in a state not too far away .. we would make arrangements for them to do 'double-duty' and come to our club to teach too. it saved a lot of wear and tear in travellin' and on airfares .. and still got them introduced to more areas.
i gotta' go peek at those pin cushions now! soooo much talent on this extended-farm of maryjanes! xoxo, frannie

Oh that is very cool Karin, hope you all have a ball! O.K., This is not very farmgirl of me to not know this, but what is a pinkeeper? Is it what we call a pin cushion? A pad you tie around your wrist to keep your pins handy.

Kathie- Ellenwood is straight up 75N, with a slight hop to 675N. We are 3 1/2 hours north of Valdosta. Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy!

Hey Karin,
Miss "Best in Show" for that dynamite Pinkeeper....
You know I'm going to be there!! LOL Only have a 2 hour drive...Am so hoping all of us Honorable Mention Farmgirls will get to meet in person  It's going to be so much fun no matter what!!
I've been trying to contact one of the HM that lives close to me but haven't heard back from her yet....i'll let you know if I hear from her.

I am seriously interested in coming, too. It is about a five hour drive from where I am. October 8! Tell us more about how her visit to you came about! I bet you won the pinkeep contest! Yours was so beautiful.

I'm sooo excited for you Karin!! I'd been meaning to congatulate you! Wow!!!! You must be giddy!!You deserve it!!! Have a wonderful time and take lots of pictures for us! Many many hugs!
P.S. Do you remember the old Ellen DeGeneres sitcom? There was an episode where Martha Stewart shows up at her house for Thanksgiving! Kinda like an "I love Lucy episode"!! So funny!!! Anyway, that's how I'd be feeling if Maryjane were coming to MY house!!HUGS!! |
