After 7 years as a semi-stay at home mom and part-time lunch lady; I've started job hunting. Tomorrow I have a job interview for a teacher's aid position. I am also taking several civil service exams Saturday for various jobs.
I'd really appreciate your prayers-I haven't been on a job interview in 17 years!!! And I'm totally not wigging out about the fact that my appt. is immediate following work, it's hotter than blazes here so I'll be trying to clean up change and not stink!!! But anyhoo, I'd appreciate any and all prayers!!

WooHoo! I got the teacher's aide position and started today! It is an amazing job working with a great group of kids. I am using the old brain again! Believe it or not I'll be pulling double duty for a couple weeks as both a teacher's aide AND in the kitchen. That was kind of tough today, but I reminded myself the job I love is the job I'm keeping.
Thank you for your prayers and well wishes ladies.

Woohoo! It's going to be great, and it sounds like you're already doing fine! How fun to work with those kids, and a little lunchroom duty won't hurt, either.

Congratulations, now enjoy!!!

Bonnie, no sweat (hee hee, couldn't resist after all the heat and armpit posts)! Prayers ascending, and best wishes for just the right job for you!! Hugs, Nance

A little late on this, but best of luck! I've been working for a long time, and I still freak out over an interview (I make myself go on them, even though I'm not looking--keeps me current!), so I'm sure I know how you're feeling.

It will be fine, just remember, YOU are valuable, too, if something doesn't work out. There's usually a VERY good reason why!

best of luck to you Bonnie. Take some baby wipes to rub over those smelly armpits. Works wonders for me.
