For those of you that don't already know, I live on Prince Edward Island, the "home" of Anne of Green Gables. I have access to all things Anne. I would love to go shopping for anyone of you kindred spirits that collect Anne treasures.
Yesterday, I played tourist and went and poked around in all of the Anne shops. It is so fun to see all of the tourists happy faces as they are seeing Anne's house for the first time!! I am sooooooo lucky to live on this special island all year round.
Let me know if there are any Anne treasures you would like.

My best friend and I get together for an Anne of Green Gables "movie fest" about once a year. I love it. Such a sweet simple time. We have a few too many traditions though and also have Jane Austin fests and for some unknown reason have watched "while you were sleeping every December for years! LOL! I have a very old first edition book of Anne of Green Gables that I got at a thrift store for 50 cents. Not sure if it valuable, but I love it!

Hugs and blessings,

Brenda

Melanie, we love that "Anne Girl"! Phil says to tell you, "I do! I do!" I re-read most of the books last winter, and we regularly watch the movies. You certainly are blessed to live on such a beautiful island!

Well ladies, you are right, I am truly blessed to live here. For those of you that have seen the Anne movies...I am not quite sure where they are filmed (I must look into that) but I do know that Prince Edward Island is that beautiful and then some!!!
Jennym, there sure is and Anne's house!!! The Author, Lucy Maud Montgomery used to live in this house and that is where she wrote the story of Anne. So now the house is set up to look as if Anne lived there herself. The property is breathtaking and there are paths that you can walk on and go through the Enchanted Forest. For those of you that would like to come to PEI, keep in touch with me as I would certainly love to show you around!!!
As for what Anne treasures there are....well.....you can get a straw hat with red pigtails so you can dress up like Anne, tea cups, tea pots, coffee cups, books, stickers, post cards, hand painted ceramic figurines that are made right here in PEI. there are the Anne movies, paintings, posters.....oh boy, you name it, it is probably here.
Oh, what fun it will be shopping for you gals!!! I thought I'd post this now as if anyone wants something for Christmas, although some time away.....It would be good to get it soon as to allow time for shipping.
Anyway...hope you all have a great day!!!

Hello, another fan here!! It's been years, years, years since I read Anne. I'm seriously thinking of getting for oldest granddaughter for Xmas this year so she gets some experience of "classic" reading.

You are so lucky to live where you do. I would be in 7th heaven.

Peace and love,
Annie

Funny that this should come up now. I just got the DVDs of the series and am planning to start watching it tonight since I have to go back to teaching tomorrow! I need it to relax and enjoy my last night as a free woman! Not that I don't love my job, but I have had the best summer ever!

I love the Anne books! I just reread them about a year ago. I have the whole set, which I bought as an adult just for me! My husband and I have talked about visiting P.E.I., it sounds lovely. And I didn't know there was an Anne's house - definitely on the list of things to see if and when we come up! Thanks for your posting with such a nice offer. :-)

OH, I love Anne! Haven't read the books since I was a little kid, but just thinking of it makes me smile! Is PEI really as beautiful as it looks on the movies?
