Posted - Sep 07 2007 : 04:42:24 AM Hello, ladies. You have no idea how affirming and supportive this link is to me. Thank you all so much for the prayers. I truly appreciate and need them very much.
The news I got yesterday was devastating. The CT scan revealed that the main location is deep in the muscle of the right buttock, right up to the bone. The muscle is "grossly malformed" as I quote the radiologist. It is also quite large.
I was put under for the biopsy as it was so deep and hard to get to, but they were able to do it. The cysts on the right abdominal wall (turns out there are four, not two) are secondary. It was written as though the spot in muscle is a lesion and the others are metastases. Only the biopsy will be able to tell for sure.
It was not at all what I expected. It was quite the long day as I had to wait until 2pm for the proecedure. That was an hour and then recovery in room for 2 hours. Then, 3 hours home (5pm traffic).
My soul was torn wide open, and I just cried and wailed last night. It seems like as soon as I adjust to the idea of some possibilities, the situation changes yet again (and not for the better!)
So, I am still praying for healing and good news. Who knows? Maybe it will be just a very bad infection. I am going to sew and enjoy the weekend. I released the worst of the anxiety and fears last night and just will be patient and enjoy each day.
The new pain medicine is helping some as well. I still needed to sleep i nthe recliner, but I got some rest.
PLEASE pray for me on Monday. I ahve feeling it will be another hard day.

Posted - Sep 02 2007 : 8:50:35 PM Clare,
When ever you feel overwhelmed, take a deep breathe and think of us. We may not be there in body but we are in spirit. Surround your self with the things you draw strenghth from. Go buy yourself a pair of panties from Victoria's Secret for the next group of tests. Red ones. Lacy frilly things. Something silly for you to laugh to yourself about in the middle of the whole thing. OOH, and a feather boa for over the paper gown. or an apron! No matter what you are a fighter, show those doctors what you are made of!!!
