Been fooling around here most of the day, moving things from place to place and getting all kinds of fall ideas. I think I will change my front porch over to fall, even though the summer plants still look nice. I will move those to the back deck. If I wait to long into the season then it freezes and I hardly had time to enjoy the fall decor, especially the MUMS. So I just might do that over the weekend. Ordered some smell good stuff today for my half bushel basket in the back walk in. I used to have it in a crock bowl but it outgrew that. So Now the bowl has thread in, I bet there is a picture on my site of this change over. Too much coffee again you say? Well yes probably. You should see the things I didn't take pictures of. I think it has a lot to do with this nice 70 degree day.

Bonnie, thank you about my website and the bookmarks. I enjoy making them. I am sooo looking forward to moving.. We are getting the house- and the whole livingroom will be mine.. with a fireplace.. could you imagine!!??
We are soo very excited. the house is newer and just so peaceful.. it has a walk in pantry- the door has frosted glass that says pantry on it. It is quite cute..
In Sept I start knitting fall colored dishcloths.. I love handknit dishcloths and everyone I give them too loves them as well.
we are going to be getting a blue denim cover for our couch. we found a loft bed for our daughter.. I am looking forward to decorating..

Oh yes, Autumn is definitely a changing around time here. I do a lot of major cleaning and moving around in the fall. Gotta get those dust bunnies outta here before the big ones settle in for the winter. :) We heat with a woodstove and I find that makes for major dust and bunnies.
I am anxious to get out my decorations for fall. Seems it helps to make the season last a bit longer.

Debra,
How exciting, you not only get to change your furniture but your total scenery as well. Good luck on your move. I'm sure you will be glad to settle in before Christmas.

Nancy Jo,
Cute stuff. Always love your pictures and your decorating ideas!

Shirley,
It's hard to think of it being Spring with the weather being so hot here. I'm sure some warm must feel good to you. Not familiar with the type of weather you all get there. I mean is it like ours with snow and all or more like Florida were it's warm most of the year?

It is spring here tomorrow. I am loving getting around in my light flirty dresses.

I'm a fall-cleaner too. Spring is so busy with just freshening up, airing out, and starting, but fall calls for real change-of-scenery furniture re-arranging, putting away, and getting ready to be cozy for winter. We can produce, finish projects, and polish and put away garden tools. Days are short, I go squirrel-mode. Makes sense. In a nutty way. :)

I love fall all the beautiful colors!

I'm a total Autumn girl! Once the summer heat dies down and I get the first whiff of fall, I get all frisky and do a major cleaning and re-organizing binge. Recycling and general getting rid of what we aren't using..out come all of my projects and crafts. I'm like a little dust devil, going here there and everywhere.
. Most people do spring cleaning as the major cleaning of the year, but I always have done a fall clean...after all of the harvesting and dust settles.

Nancy Jo, I LOVE your perky little hen pin cushion? I'm gonna have to try and make one of my own. =)

Nancy Jo, love your pictures as always! I'm getting ready for Back to work...4 phone calls today, the co-workers are arguing about what color shirt to wear the first day! Can you believe it?

Debra, what a nice web-site you have, I esp. love the bookmarks you make! Very nice!

And Sue...just a big hello to you!!

I am doing the ballband dishcloth from Mason Dixon knitting. It is my favorite.. It makes a good sized cloth with enough change through the pattern to keep my from getting bored.
I will have pictures up this weekend of my cloths- I use peaches and cream dishcloth cotton from Walmart.. you can order it online at Joanns.
We are planning to buy a farm in Missouri in the next year or 2 but for now need to be happier than we are in this teeny house with no garage! So.. yep I am very excited.

Debra,
How exciting for you, a whole new format to play with, and a place just for you, thats the best. You know I have never made any of these washcloths I hear so much about, what is the pattern anyway, and what kind of yarn?

Nancy Jo, Fall makes me that way too. I tend to nestle in.. Making things for the home.. wanting to make it more cozy. this week I have knitted 3 large washcloths. I am starting my 4th.. I should have a couple more done before the weekend is over :-)
We are probably moving by Oct 1 so packing and cleaning will be going on through Sept.. but at least we will be moving into a bigger house- so I can setttttle in.. We are looking at one that has a family room and a livingroom- so I can have my art room again.. plenty of room for my loom, my bookshelves full of yarn and fabric, my sewing machines etc...
I love the changing of seasons.
