Ok, so I just got off the phone w/Carol Sue and twixt the 2 of us here is what we are gonna do...     ........
Next Thursday, (9/6) @ 12:30 noon, we will be meeting w/any MJF gals that want to join us, for a lite lunch or dessert or Iced Tea or ????
We will put together some ideas for organizing a MJF girls chapter for Spokane and out lying areas that want to join in on the fun.
So, Brenda, Amanda, Teresa, Judy, Julie, Carol-Sue & myself, let's meet for lunch & gab fest. The only stipulation is, you have to bring an Apron for "Show-n-Tell"  , it can be old/new/store bought or handmade. It can be a momento,your 1st sewn apron, a received gift, it can be a kids apron or even a mini apron.
Judithblueyes, We know you have to work, but if you can sneak over for a late lunch & join us that would be great.
We will plan more get togethers, this one is just to get us up & running.
Idaho gals you are so welcomed to come join us too!
When: Thrusday, Sept. 6th @ 12:30noon.
Where: Denny's Resturant-3711 S.Geiger Blvd. Spokane,99224(744.7060)
Please contact Carol Sue for directions( I am to new to the area & will most likely get you lost not to mention myself!)

Sorry we didn't get to meet up with you today, but don't be disheartened 'cause Carol Sue & Teresa have more events planned & will post them soon., more "play dates", more fun, so plan to come out & play the Farm Girl way!

Hello again Ladies,
Thank you Carol Sue and Katmom for the invites to lunch. I was all ready, I had grabbed my apron and was out the door when I had to run parts for my husband's shop. By the time I was finished it was 12:15-not enough time. I'm so sorry I missed it. :-( Here's hoping you all had a wonderful time and please do plan another! |

Hey Lisa,
welcome to MJF and yes, please come out to play with us. We are not limiting ourselves to just Spokane, all of the MJF girls are "members" of this chapter,, hope you can meet up with us for lunch tomorrow @ 12:30. Your only about a 35min drive via the highway so come join us for a lite lunch & gab fest.

Hello Ladies-
I am new to MJF and I saw your post about the lunch in Spokane. Is this mainly a Spokane chapter thing? I've tried to contact the C'DA chapter, but I've gotten no response so far, but I'll keep trying. :-)I'm sure they've got their hands full--cuz farmgirls are busy girls! Have a wonderful lunch! |

Oh, It's always something! I could normally take my lunch and join you all, BUT we have our executive team in from out of town for meetings 9/6 and 9/7 and we have lunch planned with them on Thursday. But let me know. And, Brenda, please send info about your Farm Girls chapter. I'd love to be a part of it. Please see my comments on the Spokane Tea thread, my vote is for EJ Roberts Mansion, but then #2 is Brambleberry WITH SCONES!

ok you may have to ask for a conference room at the best western next door at this rate lol!
I shall be there FREEDOM school starts on tuesday and i will be having a small breakdown at some point in the week. The youngest is gonna be in full time kindergarten, she is soooo ready for this(momma's not she is growing up waaaaaay to fast). I will see you girls there with bells on (ok maybe not the bells but i will be happy).

Ehem . . . just realized there is a slight issue with the apron requirement . . . all of mine are packed away during our "renovation" from our flood. But I'm still coming and you can't stop me!!! LOL!

Grace, I am one of those "outlying" Spokane farmgirls. FYI I know you are new to the area. I live about and hour and half north of Spokane. I have talked to people in Spokane and they consider that "the wilderness" : ) Well I am excited to say that I will be dropping my husband at the airport that day and I would love to join you for lunch. I might be a tad late but I will try to talk my husband into roaming the airport a little longer than he likes. I would love to put faces to all of the names I read about in these posts. Carol Sue was nice enough to invite me personally to the tea but I can't make that. I will bring an apron with a Maryjane connection and if I can remember a few pictures from the first Farmgirl campout that I was lucky enough to attend. JoAnn |

I'll be there. When Carol Sue left the message on my cell phone it kept cutting in and out and so I wasn't sure what restaurant so I am glad you posted here. Hey Karen and Ursula, who contacted me about joining the group I started, please join us. We somehow got more groups going than we need and are merging as one great group of farmgirls. The more the merrier!!
